Effective compression garments for the maintenance phase of Lymphedema Therapy.
These were purchased for one of my patients. They have history of severe lower extremity lymphedema with associated ulcers. After getting them stable with Complete Decongestive Therapy, and the wounds healed, we were able to move to these for management of their condition on a long term basis. These are best used in one of two circumstances: 1. The legs have been reduced and stabilized as mentioned above. 2. The legs are not severe to start with, and only maintenance of current levels is required. These are much easier for patients to don themselves when compared to pull on garments. Especially if they are dealing with arthritis or weakness in their hands. These are designed for maintenance, not reduction of volume levels. If you have lymphedema that is severe, you should already have gotten treatment for reduction and stabilization by a certified lymphedema therapist. The fit and comfort depends on the leg shape. Some trial and error may be involved. Some minor fluctuations in volume levels of your legs may occur during the transition.Because of the way these are fastened, there is a limit to how tight you can go. The ends of the bandages will hit the next folding layer if your legs get too small. If your leg outgrows them due to an increase in edema, you won’t be able to fasten the Velcro. This is one reason why you must stabilize with CDT phase 1 prior to getting these garments.Quality is good, and the Velcro holds well. I usually use a protective stockinette inside and outside to keep the Velcro in place during daily activity (so the edges don’t catch on anything) and to keep them from getting soiled or dirty. When needed, hand wash, then lay flat to dry. Have an alternative compression solution to wear while these get cleaned and dry. With daily wear they should last about 6 months before having to replace them. Sometimes patients will get longer wear if they are not super active. (It’s better to be active!)Overall these are one of the must have options for the maintenance phase of lymphedema therapy and long term management of the condition. There are other options available if these don’t quite work out due to irregular leg shape or tissue density. The nice thing about Amazon is that if the fit doesn’t work out, returns should be hassle free as long as the garments are in like new condition.Highly recommended!

These are great. My husband used to struggle with support socks to the point that he just didn't use them. This product is EASY to put and and take off, and still does the job!

Same Great Quality
This was a much needed replacement for an identical product that was worn out. My husband uses Solaris products to control Lymphedema.

These compression wraps worked wonderfully! My husband suffers from anemia and recently severe 3rd degree burns on his legs so compression was necessary for both cases. They were great! Easy to put on and take off, didn't lose snug fit with all day wear, easy to clean and adjust when needed.
