The Ross Macdonald Collection: 11 Classic Lew Archer Novels: A Library of America Boxed Set

Fore a discerning bookshelf.

Very nice LOA set of books,as usual.They encapsulate the cream of definitive American writing,of all genres,and the crime one,I find especially interesting,despite lacking the presences of --so far--greats like Cornell Woolrich,James M Cain,Jim Thompson...but for the authors included thus far,the Canadian(!) MacDonald is head and shoulders above most others,excluding Chandler(his early model),and Hammett(his first inspiration).These are the obvious "big 3",but there are others,many of them,missing ,that deserve inclusion.LOA tell me they're on the list...
