Their retro-fuelled ‘wonky pop’ is pure optimistic fun of the kind that only po-faced too-cool-for-schoolers could possibly diss. This Is Alphabeat is a version of their platinum-selling Danish release minus some of the cheesier moments and with three brand new tracks produced by Mike Spencer (Kylie, Beverley Knight, Jamiroquai). 80s-style pop is still very much the motto here, with singles like "Fascination" and "10,000 Nights" manifesting more than just a casual aura of fame school about them. "Boyfriend" is reminiscent of 80s Madonna and the skewed electro of "Touch Me Touching You" is ridiculously saccharine and highly infectious. One of Spencer’s additions is worth noting--a cheerful romp through PiL's "Public Image," chirpy whistling and all, that will undoubtedly make John Lydon purple with rage. Prepare to be Fascinated.
If happy, upbeat, and cheerful music isn't your thing then prepare yourself to be converted, cause thats just how good Alphabeat is. This group has completely captivated me and my friends and I couldn't suggest purchasing this album more. Priced at an average $15 range, its a steal and I would venture to say you won't regret it. If you're not familiar with their songs try looking them up on Facebook, YouTube, or Grooveshark before committing to buying the album.This CD is definitely 80s inspired and has super fun and upbeat tracks mixed with some sappy love songs that are sure to get your heart throbbing. Trying to compare this group to another artist is a bit difficult since they really are their own voice. I strongly recommend purchasing this album as they are unlike any group right now in the USA. If I had to sum this album up in one word it would be "HAPPY" and we all know thats not a bad thing right?

This Is The Beat!
This is such a great album, it has everything I love about todays music mixed up with the style and emotion of the 80s and early 90s. Alphabeat not only sounds amazing but they look great! I love their style. I wish more bands were like this. The songs on this album are all catchy and you will be listening to them over and over and perhaps even singing them without even knowing! This is a must have album that anyone can enjoy.

Fantastic CD
I saw this group on the Graham Norton show and immediately fell in love with this group. I've since purchased the CD and can't stop listening to it. What a terrific CD! If you like 80's pop or Euro-pop, this is for you. You will not be disappointed!

Saw 'em on the telly
They performed brilliantly on the Graham Norton show. But I wasn't able to sample bits of this album before I bought it. Wow, they're certainly worth the gamble. It's a really fun, upbeat album!

Um... AMAZING...
...now if only I could get all these songs out of my head. Especially "Boyfriend" which is super catchy. Totally 80s, but totally now. I would recommend this for anyone who just loves pop music and is ready to be put in a good mood!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums. It's so '80s-esque and light, definitely feel-good music. If only they were more popular in America!

Herrlich frische Gute-Laune-Musik!!!
Ich bin mir sicher, es gibt bestimmt ähnliche Musik wie die von den jungen Dänen...aber für mich zählt nur Eines:Sie geht ins Ohr und absolut ins Bein!!!Es ist selten, das ich auf einer CD mehr als 2-3 Lieder wirklich gut finde und hier sind es 6 Songs, fast die Hälfte!!!Fantastic Six(teilweise in Deutsch gesungen!),10.000 Nights,Boyfriend,Go-Go und natürlich Fascination sind Lieder, die ich immer wieder hören kann.Rubberboots ist ruhiger,aber auch sehr gut.Ob das nun Mainstream ist oder nicht,mir gefällt es sehr.Auch der Rest der CD gefällt nach dem zweiten oder dritten Anhören und es gibt kein Lied,das man überspringt...Kurz und gut:Gute-Laune-Mucke mit sattem Groove!!!

habe mich leider von den Rezensionen verführen lassen
Nach den überwiegend positiven Rezensionen hier bei amazon.de habe ich mir gleich diese CD bestellt."Fascination" war natürlich der Grund warum ich auf diese CD aufmerksam geworden bin. Leider halten die anderen Lieder meines Erachtens nicht was der Hit "Fascination" verspricht. Wie meistens gibt es noch ein oder zwei hörenswerte Lieder auf einer CD (die auch schon hier angesprochen wurden), den Rest kann man eigentlich unter "wir testen mal was ankommt" verbuchen. Das ist soweit auch nicht schlimm, denn schließlich soll Alphabeat ja auch einen vielleicht eigenen Musikstil finden.Nur hier das "normale" Album so in den Himmel zu heben finde ich nicht richtig und so gibt es von mir 3 Sterne, für ein alltägliches Album mit einem Superhit.

I'm not sure what has happened to Alphabeat!!! This is a great album. The best songs are: Boyfriend, Fascination, 10 000 Nights. & What Is Happening . The remixes are also excellent. Too bad they only recorded -The Spell as their follow up. Such a great band from Denmark. I miss them.

Ich wollte mal wieder ein büschen neue Musik, die einfach nur Spaß macht und gute Laune in die graue Jahreszeit bringt.Wer das auch möchte, muß sich dieses super-flower-gute-Laune-wohlfühl-jubel-Scheibe holen.Pure gute Laune!!

Top-Pop!!!
Popmusik...zum tanzen und mitsingen leicht zugänglich und echt gut gemacht.Beide bisher veröffentlichten Alphabeatalben sind echt hörenswert und machen sich gut in meiner CD-Sammlung.Wer gute Popmusik mag kann hier nichts falsch machen.

Frisch, tanzbar und abwechslungsreich.Hebt sich erfreulicherweise vom Einheits-Sound-Sumpf dieser Tage erfrischend ab.Auch Ohren der Teenager-Generation können dieser Musik einiges abgewinnen!

ツインヴォーカルのアルファビート。ヒット曲のファシネイションはもちろん最高ですが、ボーイフレンドなど良い曲も入っており、しかも輸入盤で格安なので、おすすめの一品です。日本版は３，０００円くらいしますが、ボーナストラックを気にしなければ１，０００円くらいで買えます。輸入盤なので、少々到着までに時間がかかりますが、騙されたと思って聴いて見てください。YouTubeで試聴しておくと間違いないです。
