Solved IPTV/ Led Lightbox issue
Solved a problem involving an old Samsung LCDTV and a no-name ledlightbox from aliexpress/china. The Led Lightbox would work perfectly in all tv's but not on samsung. An AI recommended using this HDMI adapter after the IPTV box, so tha the signal would be "cleansed" when going into the Led Lightbox. This solved the issue instantly. Thank you so much evanlak!

Worked at 720p with my son's Nintendo Switch dock to display on our 27" Apple Cinema Display
Worked with my son's Nintendo Switch dock to display on our 27" Apple Cinema Display as well as my 2010 27" iMac in Target Display Mode. For whatever reason the Switch dock refused to display anything on either monitor, but worked fine with every other TV in the house. The only options on the Switch dock are Automatic and 480p when connected to these monitors and neither display anything. Using the 4K version of this device, the switch dock sees the options for 720p and 1080p. Unfortunately the 1080p doesn't work, but the 720p setting works perfectly. No idea why these monitors don't accept 1080p with this device, but Apple is quirky. An HDMI splitter will likely also work, but this is alot simpler since it doesn't require and extra power cord.

Working better than expected
Not sure why some people are experiencing issues with the passthrough functionality which is working as described, I have not notice any drops in resolution either on the contrary and it offers a long range of resolutions low and hight to adjust to, very flexible, I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews and only order 1 to test and now I can be happier, great value, quality and ease of use just plug-and-play.

Potential issue with HDCP support
The quality of the device seemed good, but it didn't do what I needed. My Roku could see the device was attached and would not open apps due to HDCP error.

Good for PC, did not work for my Mac
It completely solved the problem I had with my PC blanking out when using my KVM. My Mac worked better with the KVM from the start, but when I added one of these to the Mac (in hopes of getting rid of remaining problems completely), the Mac screen displayed a purplish tint, as if no green channel was getting through. Therefore 50% success rate, but when it did work it was a good solution.

Great for remotely managed PC for a senior.
Working great so far (a week) with a remotely managed Linux Mint PC I set up for my 80-year old mother. The M715q needs to be ON 24/7, so I can remotely manage it (VNC through ssh tunnel), and my mother uses it to watch streaming videos and what not. As part of remote management, I need to be able to reboot it remotely. Even without that, it simply will not behave correctly if an active display isn't connected to it. In my case, the display is just a basic 1080p 60Hz (59.94Hz) TV, so I chose the 1080p version. My mother simply turns the TV ON/OFF as needed. My M715q doesn't have HDMI output option, so I'm using a basic (passive) Benfei Displayport to HDMI adapter on top of this device, and it hasn't negatively affected its function. Even the audio through HDMI has been working perfectly, through multiple ON/OFF cycles each day.

Fixed my Windows issue!
These EDID emulators are exactly what I needed. I run a SFF with 4 outputs going into an HDMI switch with PiP. After upgrading to a 75" Samsung TV, Windows was constantly rearranging the PiP windows when I shut the TV off, something that did not happen with my older 65" Samsung. These EDID emulators do exactly what they're meant to do, and make Windows think that the monitors are always there. No more rearranging when I turn the TV back on!
