Very Poor Quality
Fits and finishes were very poor. Most parts weren't labeled. Particle board was scratched and dry rotted. Assembly was difficult.I had to add metal straps to the joints where the top and bottom sub assemblies met, the cam locks didn't engage properly.I had to secure it to the wall because it was unstable. This piece didn't give the impression of finished furniture, it's more like something someone made in their garage.I suggest that Amazon take a hard look at this product, it's definitely below minimum standards. The only reason I didn't return it is that I disposed of the packaging. On the plus side it does hold a lot of DVDs.

Decent enough
The finished product was nice. Doesn't feel super sturdy, when anchored to the wall, it's better.Directions were hard to understand. There wasn't much written direction as to what you need to do, and the pictures are a little vague as well.I would say, if you're adept at assembling things, you'll do fine. If not, get someone to help you!

Defective design, frustrating to assemble, but I guess adequate for the money.
There are two serious flaws with this, but I guess it's fit for purpose when you finally get it together. Just be prepared for a great deal of frustration during assembly.1. There is a serious flaw with the cam lock system that attaches the top and bottom halves. The dual-headed "screws" are simply too short to properly engage on both ends. The best you can hope for is to hold things together enough to get the back on.2. Attaching the back properly would require a shop with an 8'x6' bench and 8' bar clamps to get it square, since the whole thing is too flimsy to square up on its own (see issue #1). The best you can hope for is good enough to hold your discs - forget about it being square or looking good.

Can’t put something together that doesn’t have the right hardware
I bought this because it was an affordable shelf I could use for my movie collection. I knew when buying it that it was a “cheap” product, but I didn’t expect what I got, which was unusable literally upon opening. The provided hardware isn’t correct. On the first step of assembly I used the screws instructed by the manual and they were far too short to properly tighten down. So that was that. Couldn’t even put it together because the screws provided are too small. And it’s noticeable, because as soon as you like the screws up to the appropriate holes, they fall into place with zero resistance. Falls apart as soon as you touch it.Don’t waste your time on this product.

Not worth 200$
This is not a quality shelf. It's flimsy and difficult to put together. And definitely not worth $200.
