Works well!
Used these a few times over the years. Works really well and stops the ants after a week or so. It does attract ALOT of ants just as a heads up. Use in a household with cats and they don't seem interested in it at all

It may take a few tries before you kill them all
This is the only review that’s going to give you an honest idea of how these ant traps work. They’re very simple to use, HOWEVER, they’re not a miracle killer. In fact, they don’t kill majority of the ants in the trap. Perhaps the ants go and die in the nest? Probably. When you put these traps out, give it a few minutes to an hour for the ants to start scurrying in. They get in the trap and eat the gel and they will continue to walk in and out. DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE TRAP! When you do this, the ants scurry away and get out. Just leave it. After 24 hours, check the trap, IF there are still live ants around the trap, don’t move it. LEAVE IT! They’re not dead yet. I had to set up a total of 4 traps before they finally died. I noticed when the problem really ended, there were no ants around AT ALL! Not outside the trap, nothing! The other traps I removed thinking I got rid of them but they were probably just sleeping or too full to move 🤣🤣 In summary. Set the trap. Leave it. Don’t touch it. If they don’t all die, set another one. Only love the traps when you stop seeing live ants. Otherwise, for the price? It’s a pretty decent fix for an in house ant infestation

Soo effective !!
Bought this as noticed ants in the house a few days ago, and saw great reviews! As soon as it arrived I set up the bait at where I thought they were coming from! Photo is from the fist hour of me setting it up and they started coming thick and fast! Hoping it’ll start working its magic soon and won’t see these little creeps around my house again.

Good once you understand how some ants work, good for brown ants
I'm impressed with this product. We have brown ants which are tricky ants to kill, harder your standard black ants. They're picky and more selective about their choice of bait, more cautious and can often ignore bait at first. We were using a sugar bait initially which they loved and then stopped using so I switched to this because it has fat and protein in it to try to tempt them back. They ignored the bait initially and I thought "oh no they're not interested!" but apparently that is how brown ants work, they came out in the early morning, took the bait and filled the trap. Then left back to their colony, which is again what they're supposed to do because they bring it back to their queen to kill it and finish the job. As others said I had fresh waves of ants, which is what you want (although it seems counterintuitive!). They tell their buddies and they come running to take the bait, recruiting more, more take the poison and share it with their pals. Looks bad at first but that's how you know it's working. You want them to take as much back as possible and not die in the trap otherwise the colony won't collapse. Anyways I've ordered some more but would recommend especially if you've got brown ants. We used Nippon first (sugar based) then switched to this (protein/fat based). They seem to love it! I'm preserving because overall the numbers are dropping and I'm hoping that switching between baits will do the trick. Be patient, don't disturb them in the trap and let them come and go. You need to poison to get back to he colony and get their queen.

Relatively pet safe, Seemingly effective and fast-acting
I chose these bait traps because of the indication of relative safety for pets as well as efficacy. Very happily, my pets seem to have absolutely no interest in these traps, but the ants sure do! I initially put out one bait station near an observed ant track and entry/exit point. Once it started attracting ants, it helped me find two other ant tracks (and all the tiny cracks in grout, etc. that I will fill after the ants are gone). Ultimately, I put out three traps, one for each observed ant track, in a medium sized bathroom. Each trap began attracting ants within several hours of placement. The ants seem to be responding as promised: eating the bait and returning to their nests. The number of ants coming to the bait stations has decreased significantly since the initial frenzy 7 days ago so I assume the bait is working. After c. 5 days, I no longer saw any ants near the 1st ant track identified. 7 days after initial placement, there are still a few ants coming to the other two bait stations. I am cautiously optimistic all ants will be cleared up within a few more days max; there is still bait gel in the stations and ants are still entering and leaving the bait stations. One trap seemed to attract many more ants than the other two, and this is where I've seen the best, fastest result. No clue whether there was any minor difference in the bait, slightly different ants in each ant track (I sure hope not multiple infestations...), etc. I ordered more of these bait stations in an abundance of caution to ensure total elimination of the infestation and as: 1) I am not certain how long the bait remains effective once the bait station as been opened and activated, and 2) I accidentally flooded one when I left it in the shower area, and am not certain whether I may have accidentally ruined that bait. I'd appreciate it if anyone reading can clarify re: my concerns. I know there are lots of types of ants, and this product seems to be working well for those I am battling: black, average size, attracted to sugar-based food (eg previous honey vs peanut butter test), showing up primarily in the bathroom and not the kitchen/near obvious food sources.
