Alpha Strong Traditional Wood Plyo Box (6")

As well made as Rogue box
Smaller than the Rogue 12" box (~15" square top vs 19" square top). Appears to be as well made as the Rogue box I have. I bought this one because the Rogue box is a little larger than I wanted in my home set up. This box is slightly less expensive ($57 vs $65 and included shipping which Rogue box did not.) Edges routed/rounded so they're smooth. Pre-drilled holes include an inset which is thoughtful (screws flush mount with plywood.) Directions are a single page with drawings but . . . it's a box; how much trouble can you get into? It's worth taking a minute to determine which pieces face external v internal (smooth edges out.) I only mention that because I "mis-assembled" my Rogue box because I wasnt paying enough attention and had to re-do it. Not a catastrophic mistake and easily fixed but will suck up a few minutes doing rework. I suspect that if space were not at a bit of a premium in my area, I'd have motored on happily with the Rogue box. I do like the slightly smaller size though. Rogue suggests using woodglue as well as the screws. This one does not come with that recommendation but I did so anyway (Gorilla woodglue.) I dont think it's as much a "belt and suspenders" move as it is an intention to help the thing stay sturdy. Screws can loosen over time, make the holes bigger, etc. That would be a right-pain to fix so thinking I can avoid the problem . . . perhaps. Dunno that 5 pieces of plywood is worth almost $60 but I also know the odds of me rounding up the wood, cutting, drilling, assembling on my own is almost zero. Not a project that would rate . . . so my decision was $60 for something easy, decent & quick versus nothing and a planned project I'd likely never execute. :)

Strong base for working out!
It shows up ready to be put together. Not all of us has a garage or room for cutting wood but do have a electric drill/driver.I haven't put this to any real strain as I am only 135lbs but the time I have used it — but it is solid. It seems a great basic workout box. I do want to figure out how to use it for storage and maybe add some weight with sandbags or something. Then it becomes even more useful.

Solid piece of equipment
Ordered this as an addition for our home gym. Have used plyo boxes in gyms for years. This one is just as solid as any I’ve used. I like it better because I can keep it clean 🤗

Impressed
So I didn’t purchase this for the standard reason. I live in an apartment and do not have stairs I can use to stretch my calves. I purchased the 6in box to use after my workouts to stretch my calves and it had been great! It was very easy to put together and is very sturdy.

Send instructions
The box was great, my issue was you didn't put instructions in the box on how to assemble the box, VERY FRUSTRATING! Once I figured it out the box was great for my son.
