Kept these 2 pr cashmere socks plus plus 2 pr ...
Kept these 2 pr cashmere socks plus plus 2 pr wigwam Donovan socks because they were moderately soft (loose) tops. Returned for credit several other pair of socks from Amazon because they were too tight fitting at the top. Would appreciate any suggestions for soft (loose) top socks that are even more loose at the top than those I chose to keep. Thanks FDC

Answers to Cashmere Content Questions
At this writing, in late 2015/ early 2016, these socks were advertised as 25% Cashmere, and came as 30% Cashmere. They should not technically be advertised as only Cashmere (see below), but due to the complementary Milano content are a GREAT deal for the price, well made, and compare to similar items at big box stores selling for $40 (got them here for 14).Although Cashmere is technically the undercoat HAIR of an Australian or Northern Indian Cashmere goat, and NOT the wool outer coat of a sheep (thus, not wool or a “coat” at all!), the US Wool Institute defines Cashmere advertising thus: 100% Cashmere must contain only natural Cashmere, from the Cashmere goat. “Cashmere blend” must contain at least 33% Cashmere as defined above. “Cashmere” as a lead, and without the words “contains,” must be at least 51% natural Cashmere. “Contains cashmere” can be ANY amount (even 1%). Buyer beware, LOOK at the % before buying and do not buy unless it is given in the description! We will post if there is a discrepancy on an item.In the old days, the FTC would go after advertisers who didn’t conform to those industry standards. Today, China and the web mean buyers have to fend for themselves. To complicate matters, there are very good Cashmere knock offs (manmade synthetics or other animal hair substitutes). At test certified dot org, we test these regularly and comment in our Amazon reviews, and nothing as tough as DNA testing is required: a simple microscope/lanolin panel will do it.Cashmere is three times as insulating, and almost half as light as some wools, but the very best Milano wools are so fine that they make, in some cases, as good a blend as pure Cashmere, for example, 70% Cashmere, 25% Milano, and 5% silk. Amazon has some AMAZING deals on real, 100% Cashmere from time to time, such as hats and gloves retailing at Macy’s for $200 and for sale here for $30, but DO NOT ignore products with genuine Milano wool for comfort, warmth and less bulk either. Some big box stores call Milano “smart wool” because it doesn’t scratch and is so fine that it simulates Cashmere in many ways. TIP: I’ve also found $500 100% Cashmere sweaters for $5 at Goodwill from time to time!

Nice, but shrinky
These are fine socks. They fit, although a bit smaller than usual for me. They feel great. But they have one significant problem. I put mine in the dryer, and they shrank up too small to fit a grade-schooler. I guess there were instructions somewhere that said don't put them in the dryer. Whatever. I don't want socks I can't toss in the dryer with the rest of my cloths. Too bad. They're pretty nice otherwise.

Comfortable
Socks are soft and the fit is just right, however, they slip down easily. Higher rating if they stay up where they are suppose to.

QUALITY, Without Going Broke!
These are an excellent surprise.I've been buying from Black Socks, (out of Switzerland), to find durable, soft andcomfortable socks; very expensive socks, more than their product warrants. These via Amazon are extremely fine quality for 1/5 the price! They do have a toe seam, unfortunately, though stay up well and definitely do NOT bind at all;none of that awful elastic at the top which cuts circulation. It's always hard to find socks that last, though these have washed wonderfully, and if anything are even nicer after the first laundering.I do not use the dryer for socks,so have no opinion as to whether that makes a difference ~~ !! ??

Better than acrylic; what else can I say
Too short (wont' stay up) and too thin and too expensive (for one pair). On the plus side they are soft, but I won't be a repeat buyer on these.

Four Stars
very comfortable to wear

Not a snug fit.
They don't have much elasticity to them and are very thin, so tend to slide down off my calves around my ankle.
