Great
Fits single din radio perfect

Good template. Exact fit. Worked great.
Fit my 1983 Chevy K20 Scottsdale truck very nicely. Good quality. I used this template to change the standard radio mount location in my truck to accept a single DIN style radio. This template kit fit the dash exactly and provided an exact fit template to cut my dash and dash panel to a very clean exact fit DIN opening. The finished project looks great. It would be nicer if it was a metal template instead of plastic. But it did the job I needed and worked great.

Worked perfectly to repair the radio spot in my dash
I got this to fix my dashboard radio spot because it was cut by a previous owner in 1982 GMC pick up. It did the job perfectly real easy installation. The new radio fits perfectly.

Plastic radio GM (Square body) truck spacer and block off plate
Good design. Made of abs plastic. The inner is also abs or painted or colored not sheet metal that it looks like. Don't know how the abs will hold up to the sheet metal ears of the radio sleave.. it looks silver in Amazon photo. Listing add lists a cassette holder built in. Can't see where? Will need to provide extra support to the back of the radio. Good for laying out and cutting your din hole in the dash. Will also fit the 88-90 (Square Body style)Suburban which didn't change till 91 or 92.

Picture is deceiving
The picture shows a metal back plate, it’s plastic. It’s flimsy, not as sturdy as metal. Buyer beware.

Awesome alternative
This is a great alternative when the previous owner to your vehicle tries to install a stereo head unit and cut your dash apart with a chainsaw instead of the proper way. This really cleans it up and makes it look almost factory. Thank you for designing a good product.

Awesome, but be warned
Used the metal piece to patch a chop-job hehind the dash. Painted it, works and looks great. A WORD OF WARNING: The plastic piece will only fit flush against SOME dash bezels.. if your radio is recessed into the plastic dash bezel and not flat below the temp controls, it will sit on top of the edges, but it covers them flush and looks OK. I filed down the edge of the plastic piece to make it fit inside of my gauge bezel. You'll know what I'm talking about once you get it. The metal piece is perfect and can be welded in as well to patch up a chop job if needed. Thanks!

Not metal
Thin plastic, but work for a pattern and I cut one out of 16g
