Does the job. small enough for aeropress.
As part of a foray into coffee making, this porlex seemed like a good first grinder. After making around 100 coffees, the novelty of grinding has worn off. It takes a few minutes per cup, which you can do while the water boils. This is small enough to put inside an aeropress and take around which is a feature I used more than I thought I would. This does the job well. It's either this or the aergrind imo. Often I will still look at the commandante and wonder whether I made the right choice. If you are more likely to make coffees at home and portability is not an issue, I'd say, get a commandante and have that peace of mind that it's a good one that basically lasts a lifetime.

Everything I thought it would be.
Nice little grinder. Portable, easy to use and easy to clean. I can grind enough beans for a single cup of coffee by the time my variable temperature kettle has heated the water to 85c.

Compact and capable grinder.
Great starter grinder, and at a great price.Easy to use. Would be very easy to travel with due to its compact design ans size.I use it for espresso, for Latte's.The grinder is easy to adjust with clear step changes. To achieve a nice crema and texture using my Rok espresso, I use step 1

Worth every penny
Fantastic product that allows for accurate grinding. Simple design makes it easy to clean. Compact design allows it to fit inside my AeroPress. Can grind Enough for over two espresso’s or one french press.

Overpriced
I'm writing this review after having the grinder for more than a year. The only thing this grinder is better than is a blade grinder, and blade grinders are as low as the bar can get. Its construction feels cheap, about the same as a grinder in the range of £20-40. The burrs - ceramic, also something you'd find in a much cheaper grinder. The grinds you get out of it are nothing special either, if you're grinding fairly fine then you get a lot of fines that in a filter coffee end up looking like mud.Not a fair comparison considering the price difference but after getting a Wilfa Uniform, the coffee from the Porlex tastes bland, empty, linear. As you take a sip you get a initial taste of the coffee that fades away fairly quickly and leaves you wanting more. With the Wilfa you get more "complexity", the taste lingers for longer and lets you experience some well balanced sweetness, bitterness and richness.I don't understand what would justify the £80.00 price tag. At half the price I wouldn't have been this harsh towards it but £80.00 is a bit too close to some much better hand grinders. If I could go back in time I'd spend a few more pounds and get a 1ZPresso.

Inconsistent, but decent for price
I have a lot of specialty coffee experience, but this is my first hand-grinder so I'm not sure how typical this is of these sorts of grinders. I have found the particle size of the grounds to be wildly inconsistent on a single grind and also inconsistent between uses. For example, the same dose of beans will result in a 4-minute brew one day and a 5-minute brew the next day with no change to the grinder setting. I'm happy with the grinder for now and I'm still happier grinding at home than asking shops to do it (and therefore being unable to make adjustments for flavor at home), but I will definitely be upgrading once I can afford to.
