Natural Tanned Rabbit Hide Skin Pelt (10" by 12" Rabbit Fur Pelt with Sewing Quality Leather) Green

I love it. It looks just like the photos. It arrived a little crimped from being shipped folded up, but that should come out with a bit of brushing. It's incredibly soft- I was worried the dye might negatively impact the fur texture, but it doesn't! A few reviews complained about the smell. I am fairly confident those people have never handled a real pelt. These are not faux fur- they're taxidermied skins. It has a slight scent to it, but it's not bad, and it will air out a bit if left out. It's perfectly normal. This feels very high quality, and should I find myself needing more rabbit pelts, I would gladly buy from this seller again.

I’ve bought 3 of these pelts in the past several weeks. Initially, I got one as a soft play toy for my male Pomeranian, who had one from elsewhere when he was a puppy and he loved it. When one of my elder dogs went senile last year, she ate his original rabbit pelt and he’s been missing his favorite toy ever since. He was overjoyed when I gave him this new rabbit fur! He immediately locked in and took it everywhere with him just like old times. However, my female gave birth to their litter a couple of weeks ago and she took his rabbit pelt into her welping box to keep her babies warm. So I purchased another one for my boy. When it arrived, my husband gave it to him and he didn’t have it for more than 2 minutes before my girl came over and snatched it from him for her puppies again. Haha! So I made one more purchase since it’s obviously a huge hit! I guess the third time’s the charm! The first two have been claimed for the puppies and the most recent is their play toy again. Highly recommend these super soft plush rabbit furs!

I bought this place on top of an RV truck so my adopted, prey driven Huskie would actually play with something. When it arrived, I showed it to her and she immediately tugged at it, licked it and hung out for a bit. I think she will like it, she loves chasing rabbits but damn, the perfume on it gave me a massive headache. I put baking soda on it and put it outside. I suspect in a day or two it will be perfect. I also bought rabbit scent so plan to add a drop when it goes on the truck. I revised my 4 stars to a 1 due to the terrible perfume. I have tried baking soda on it, activated charcoal and left it outside for a week but it simply won't come out. It is so bad, the novelty for my dog wore off the first hour and she won't even touch it now.

Looks great as an unusual addition to the arm of the couch. Everyone has to touch and ask what it is. Nobody expects it to be rabbit!
