Great water cup for field or the studio
This is a great little water container for use with my water color brushes. I had a couple other containers for use in the field, but this one really appeals to me. Everything else I've seen is basically an open mason jar with a lid to carry to where I am working. Unlike an open jar, bumps don't splash water over the edge, in fact I now use this when I am working in the studio rather than a used mayonnaise jar. I keep water up to the bottom of the cone shaped openings so that I can just dip the tips of my brushes and hit the surface of the water. So far I haven't had any spills. I keep one side with clean water and the other for washing. If I wipe off color on a rag after a couple of quick dips, than fully immerse and rinse out my brushes inside one side I can go for an hour or more without changing my rinse water. The actual opening will let a half inch filbert in or let a fan pass but not a 3/4 inch nor a squirrel wash. If I keep the water up at level though I can dip a 3/4 inch angle wash bristles into the water for wetting the paper but the ferrule won't pass in. None the less, that isn't a deal breaker. The lid snaps on positively but is not leak proof. I put it in a zip lock bag before I put it in loose in a day pack.

Convenient size for travel! Very cute water container!
The media could not be loaded. I would definitely buy this container again! It's small, and you can go anywhere with this!, the size is perfect for travel or do plain air drawing or painting! It doesn't leack! Highly recommended!!!🥰

Prevent muddy colors
Brushes stay cleaner longer because of the double rinse. Even though you can open from the top, I prefer to take the cover off for rinsing brushes. Although the top opening helps prevent accidental spills. I especially like that it is leakproof.

Great for painting "in the wild"
This is a great little water cup. Living near Glacier National Park, I really like it for packing into a bag and painting "in the wild." The lid stays secure, the little tops stay in place even if it gets knocked around a little in my pack, and it holds a nice amount of water, enough to work with without feeling like I'm carrying a bucket. All of these factors make it a great little tool. My only complaint is that the holes on the top are a little smaller than I would like. I often find myself just removing the top altogether because my brushes do not fit the openings. This is a small matter though really. I would still buy it again.

Turned out to be bigger
than I expected which makes it a little large for taking in travel kit, but it has become my favorite rinse tool. Maybe its the separate compartments but I never forget and dip my brush in the wrong one now...sometime if using a very large brush, I leave the red top off and that works fine too.

Perfect for traveling
My artist daughter asked for this at Christmas. I was surprised since she uses small bottles & jars for painting on-the-go already. However, she was thrilled! It’s small & portable with 2 containers in 1, she has clean water for watercolors & brush washing water available wherever she goes. She’s taking it to Europe this summer!

... home and was looking for two small cups/vessels for dirty and clean water
I use Watercolors a lot outside my home and was looking for two small cups/vessels for dirty and clean water. I found this while perusing Amazon one night and ordered it immediately. It is an amazing container. I cannot speak to carrying it around with water in it as I fill it when I get where I am going and dump it & dry it before I pack it up, but it's perfect for that. It doesn't tip over easily as a plastic cup would and is the perfect solution for on the go artists!

Poor design and don't buy for out doors
The top doesn't snap on tight. You would think it's like a regular snap on lid but no. No snap. The double chamber is fine and the 2 separate opening is fine as long as you don't drop it, tip it or pick it up only by the lid you will just have a mess. Don't but if you plan on using it out doors or to carry water with you in a pack or portable easel. .

More expensive than it should be.
I spent the money because I'm a big fan of spending to get the right, and the best tools. Sadly I was disappointed by this. The design is very good, and mostly well thought out. It does do what its supposed to. However, the quality of the manufacture lets the product down. Its a portable container, but it leaks from the rim. Oddly, the opening lids on the two container sections are very well designed and do not leak, but the rim that seals the top to the water container below is weak and leaks profusely when the container is shaken, as it might if you are carrying it full in your pack.If you're just going to fill it up on site, then empty it on site, then the container will be good for you. Also, its not good for anything over a 1/2" inch wide brush, and even with 1/2" you need to be very careful not to strip the bristles against the side of the open lids. Large format Plein Air painters beware.I'd pay $5 for it again, maybe $8-10 Cdn tops, but at $17 its just not worth the price unless you really need it.
