Good ideas, but a bit outdated in the light ...
Good ideas , but a bit outdated in the light of emerging studies and areas of health . Saturated fats are pretty essential and not bad ( latest research even mainstream ) recognises LDL has good and bad and the bad is more influenced by processed foods & sugar than fat. Since the human genome was mapped in 2003 , epigenetics is a new way of looking at your health - and while in it's infancy for doing something about your health , it will be the future of health. Consider if you eat high antioxidant foods and you have a genetic issue with Oxalic acid: eating many of those foods may be bad for you. Kombucha and fermented foods are high histamine - and if you have an issue with processing histamine these could actually be bad for you. From a secular perspective - for something to be epigenetically observed , it must be observed to the 4th generation ( sound familiar? sins of the fathers.. )I am not personally into vaccines - but I would say it is very dangerous to comment whether you are for or against them - because of your authority people will take whatever you say as an authority on the subject. I really don't know enough about vaccines to comment - and I don't think it should be done in a book like this.

Encouraging!
I've heard a lot about being healthy, but I've been cautious in how much to go after being healthy because I feel a lot of people seem bound to being healthy out of fear of the chemicals and what ever is out there that they want to avoid. I like how Beni Johnson shows how to make this a walk with God so the heart of it all remains guided by him. This brings me freedom to then live healthy for him, and for his glory. Rather than being motivated by fear of all the chemicals in the world or doing it for pride or whatever. So this book brought a good perspective on godly health.

Tons of great life changing information
Beni writes on lots of ways that we can improve our health. Some you may know, others you just don’t practice that often or at all. Challenge yourself and make the right changes you need to. God will help through it all.

Pleased with item.
The book was in good shape and was the one I was looking for. However, I discovered that I already knew much of what it contained. It didn't end up being that much of a help to me. I would be to someone the information was new too. I would still recommend it.

Great read! On my own journey of spirit
Great read! On my own journey of spirit, soul, and body health I really enjoyed the simplicity in which she lays everything out. She addresses the reality that we for so long neglected parts of ourselves... For example, the body is less important than the spirit. She helps us understand this is not true. I hope to see this message in the church explode even more. I like how she says, "the church should be the healthiest people on the planet!"She gives great suggestions as well, she lays out multiple roads to a healthier lifestyle, not just one diet. I like that!

Holistic Health
This books is wonderful for understanding the importance of holistic health: body, mind, spirit. Beni Johnson shows how being off balance in one of these areas can throw us off in the other areas. Have read through it in its entirety 4 times and gone to it as a reference more than I could count.

Got me really focused this year on my health and thinking more about what I actually feed my body with. Lots of things you can easily follow, going to more 'involved efforts' for the people more focused than me! Written in freedom which makes the difference.
