SoCal Swedish Style Silver Mirrored Black Framed Swim Goggles

As a previous reviewer noted - these are not the original Swedish goggles that many of us have grown up using the last 20-30 years but a knock-off dut to the expiration of the patent. They do not look like the picture above (which do look like the original Swedish brand goggles but in smoke - not silver mirror. Not sure why the can't get the picture right but that is problematic in my mind. Shipping from SoCal Swim Shop was fast - but the goggles are a little different - they came partially assembled with the straps and nose piece. The nose piece is much thinner than the original and I like to stuff the ends of the string after I cut them back into the nose piece so that they don't irritate my nose, but that's not happening with this one. Part of the brilliance of the Swedish brand goggles is that you can customize them and you still appear to be able to do this with these. The strap is silicone, so it won't wear out as quickly as the old ones. Overall I think they're fine. I'm not sure, even with the strap upgrade, that they are worth the $10.99 price tag. Time will tell...

I like the goggles though the string might not work for everyone over the bridge of the nose. I have a tiny head so I had to switch out the piece and that was kind of pain (the reason for 4 stars). Like the style and look now that it is adjusted for my face.

These aren't the original Swedish Googles of the days of old, but they do work. Happy with the purchase, but not what I remember. The original had mirrored lenses, these are completely mirrored.

goggles are great the swimmer using them i believe to young and pinch face a little to much but over all good product. thanks for shipping them as detailed.

I didn't really understand "swedish swim goggles" but I decided to order a pair based on the other reviews on Amazon. I didn't care for the flimsy nature of the goggles.. they didn't feel sturdy at all. I donated them to the local YMCA.

I've used the traditional swedish goggles for a long time and these are, for all intents and purposes, the exact same thing. The only difference I've noted is the squishy rubber part that the nose string goes through seems a bit thinner and can get a uncomfortable on the bridge of your nose, however that was an existing issue with the swedish goggles honestly. I've only swam with these twice so I'll update on how the straps hold up to the chlorine.

It's not an original swedish, just a generic one. Anyway, not bad quality but is not what I was looking for either.

I got these goggles for my son, who is an avid swimmer and insists on only the Swedish Silver Mirror goggles for his swimming needs and enjoyment. He was thrilled with his NEW pair of googles.
