Choose Your Own Adventure Book #3 - Space & Beyond
I was very pleased with the seller. No problems with the quality of the book (it was in perfect shape) and it arrived within a week. I was impressed. I recommend and will certainly purchase more books from them in the future. I loved these books as a kid, now my kids love them. This book in particular, Space and Beyond, isn't one of the best in the series however. These books are awesome because they teach kids the valuable lesson of making wise decisions by demonstrating choices and their consequences (some good some bad).

He LOVES it and is so excited to have a book just like the ones he remembers from his childhood
Bought this YEARS ago for a friend and ended up finding it in my Amazon history, so I got it again for my husband. He LOVES it and is so excited to have a book just like the ones he remembers from his childhood.

Just okay
My 7 YO advanced reader asked for choose your adventure books, so I selected this book and 2 others (which were more geared for children). From the description I thought “Space and Beyond” would be intriguing enough to keep her interest but not too scary. It turned out to be relatively interesting with choices that seem to matter. My gripe, however, is that it seems a bit disjointed at times, like it was translated from another language or just written quickly. A few times I had to check the “go to” page number again because the path ended abruptly like I had turned to the wrong page. Yeah, the book was written in 1980 and later reprinted with what looks like artwork from high school. Definitely has that 80s feel. Great? No. Good? Sort of.

We love reading these books together
We love reading these books together, my 6 year old girl, 9 year old boy, and I. Dramatic turn of events at times, keeps us on our toes and laughing if we make a devastating choice, lol. I loved these as a kid and now love sharing the experience with my little adventure seekers.

Space Adventures for my Six Year Old!
Who else has fond memories of the Choose Your Own Adventure series?I used to absolutely adore them as a child and so eagerly purchased this particular offering as an un-birthday present for my six year old eldest son. He loves to read, and I thought that the variety of endings might really please him as it used to me.Initially he was baffled by the choice concept but soon got into it. It's quite self explanatory. The stories are so much shorter than I had recalled, though that does mean it's good if you do 'one more before bed'!The actual writing and plot lines, though, is entirely hopeless. Thankfully a six year old doesn't discern that too much, but wow...I'm surprised I ever liked them! The choices are silly sometimes and often the endings are so unimaginative that you have to wonder if the author just gave up. It must be hard writing so many that intertwine, but wow...I've given it four stars as it does was it says on the tin, made for a happy six year old and the nostalgia clouds my judgment.

Terrible clunky writing
We bought this for our 8-year-old daughter, as we enjoy reading choose-your-own adventure books together. This one is worth avoiding, as it is very poorly written. There is really no excuse for this, even for a children's book. Many similar books are genuine page turners, with a clear story and choices that make sense, but not in this case. There is no flow, just events randomly strung together with clunky writing. The choices offered are often completely arbitrary, with no connection to the plot. The endings are also very abrupt and unsatisfying. Avoid.

Delivers what it promised
It's smaller than expected but still a good read, funny and I'm guessing exciting for children.
