Afterglow

As a long-time admirer of Hoppé (and Wheater) I have most of their CDs which I play often whilst giving Amatsu treatments. I find their music very soothing, without being overtly 'new age'. I bought this together with 'Unforgetting Heart' and, as with that title (see my review) this CD also initially had me a little perplexed. With its somewhat contrived plinky=plonky keyboard sound, it appeared to teeter on the territory of some of the more naff commercial relaxation soundscapes on offer. However, as with 'Unforgetting Heart', the musical quality of the composition shines through and, if not as satisfying (to me) as some of Hoppé's other works, it nonetheless has a place amongst my tracks for restful, healing sessions.

Having met Tim some years ago I was deeply touched by his music then and remain a fan with this CD top of my list. Superb at helping me relax and let go of the stressful business of working in health and social care issues.

A beautiful cd, the cello is a lovely relaxing instrument especially when playing such beautiful music. I would recommend it .

If a person is a fan of Tim Wheater's then its probably a must for them, but I preferred his 'Golden Light'

Afterglow is a perfect accompaniment to gentle Tai Chi and yoga exercises with the older person. It does what it says on the packet.

Thirteen gorgeous instrumental tracks,improvised by hoppe,tillman and wheater on keyboards,cello and flute to stunning effect.The music has a lovely calm,serene,effortless quality to it, and is an absolute joy to hear throughout.The textures,sense of atmosphere and emotion are brilliantly realised and conveyed to the listener via musicianship of the very highest order.Incredibly relaxing...music to feed the mind!.
