Do you have to insert bulb as one purchased does not seem to work

No I didn’t have to do anything to mine. Just place it in an area that gets the sun so the solar panel gets charged. Make sure you remove the protective film from the solar panel. If it doesn’t light up at dusk then it’s faulty.

I loved this but the green roof faded and then got water inside and rusted the wiring. Would buy again but not put outside

I would still keep outside. You can purchase a replacement solar panel or this product from Amazon as I had to do as well. I bought two so I have a replacement if the same thing happens again.

No the door doesn't open. Its a beautiful house but mine stopped working after a few weeks. Now its just a garden orniment.

Are they weather proof? I’m worried about putting them outside
