Q: Ordered this as product description says measuring range is between 5 - 15cms. Enclosed instructions say 1 - 3cms. Which one is correct?

Hello, there are 2 modes, for BODY MODE use 1-3 cms, for SURFACE MODE (food, tea, etc.) use 5-15 cms.

Yes, it is. Be aware that on the direct sun people and objects may have higher temperatures than in the shadow.

Q: Can this be used at the wrist for accurate body temp?

You can use it on a wrist, but the temperature of the forehead may be different from than the temperature of wrist. There are a few tips about how to use Q7 correctly: 1. The distance of the thermometer to the measured surface should be 3 - 5 cm. (for BODY mode) 2. Measure in still and stable conditions. This ensures that the surroundings do not distort the results. 3. Before measuring, make sure that there is no hair that may obstruct the procedure. 4. Always wipe your forehead with a cloth and remove any potential barriers such as make-up or skin cream. 5. The thermometer measures the temperature on the surface of the forehead. Therefore, do not take a measurement immediately after removing something that covered the head or, for example, if a child has been laying on their front. 6. Small children (especially those under 2 years) lose heat through the surface of the head. For this reason, fluctuations in temperature may occur on the face when a fever occurs. If the baby's temperature is over 38 degrees, perform 3 further measurements on different parts of the forehead and calculate the average of the results. Also, should fever be present, increase the frequency of the measurements in order to monitor the child's temperature over a period of time thus obtaining a more accurate indication.
