SENNHEISER MZQ 441 flexible stand adapter for MD441-U

I have two Sennheiser 441s. One came with this style clip, the other came with the fragile clear plastic clip. The little latch on the plastic clip broke almost immediately and for the past 25 years I've been waiting for a reasonably priced replacement. Finally, I don't need duct tape to prevent a thousand dollar microphone from falling out its clip. If you have 441 with that stupid plastic clip then salvation has arrived!

This fits the Sennheiser MD441U fine. Not so much the case that holds the mic and clip. You may have to loosen the grip of the clip by sliding it a bit to fit easily in the case.

Say goodbye to broken 441 clips. There are probably some in a recording studio that have survived but on the road, even the greatest care will not preserve those fragile clear plastic pieces. Many companies use the same clear plastic and they all have the same problem. They do look really elegant, until they break.This is a permanent solution. They are shockingly expensive, but you will only buy one per mic and the Sennheiser 441 is such a valuable and useful microphone that I don't feel ripped off. If I had to pay this much for an SM57 clip, I'd use a different mic. You might want to cement this to your 441 because you will cry if you lose it.

Let's be honest, this thing is total robbery. There's no way it should cost this much and we all know it's because there are only a few options. However, it works well so far, so at least there's that. This thing should be $20 tops.

This is the adapter to get for those 441 microphones that always have the busted plastic original clips. Only 4 stars because it is way too expensive for what it is, but it is also the only real solution.

There's no other clip option for a 441! I am a huge fan of the 441 for vocals, snare top or bottom, so I bought one that didn't have a clip and was happy to find this on Amazon. The only bummer is it's rather expensive for a plastic clip.

So expensive for a cheap piece of plastic.

It seems pretty cheap and a little rough for a genuine Sennheiser product; it feels like the threads could very easily get stripped. The real shocker was the stand adapter was made of the same quasi-soft plastic as the clip (the original adapter that originally came with the mic was made of brass).I had a couple of these clips 20 years ago and I’m pretty sure the base that screws onto the mic stand was made of metal, with the clip made of sturdy slightly pliable rubber-like black plastic.
