Roald Dahl: Revolting Things to Touch and Feel

Son loves it
My toddler loves sensory books but often we find it's the same types of fabrics being used across the books. This book is great because it gives a really good range of feelings and touch sensations, visually it's bright and colourful and we have a lot of fun reading it together. It's the first book he pulls out of his book basket to read every day!

Adored by 16 month old son
My 16 month old son adores this book. It only arrived today and he's picked it up to be read to him 5 or 6 times already. He giggles like mad at the mirror on the last page. He loves the weird and different textures included in the book and I wish I could find more touchy feel books with the same type of gross/interesting textures in them (although the gruffalo touchy feel book is also a firm favourite)

Lovely bright pictures and materials
Lovely pictures and materials for little one to touch and feel. Not much to read though. Similar to the “that’s not my….” series in terms of content.

Great for toddlers
Our toddler twins love this book. Only slight criticism is the egg on the cover is more squishy than one found inside which we would’ve preferred the other way round. Love Quentin Blake’s illustrations.

A great touch and feel book with that Roald Dahl twist
At its heart, this is just your standard touch and feel book but with that dark Roald Dahl twist. The illustrations - as you'd expect - are magnificent and the various items you can touch are all particularly disgusting. Obviously, it's not really revolting though you could rub some mouldy cheese on the giant's rough feet I wouldn't recommend it :DMy only complaint is that the egg texture is used on the cover and also inside, I would've preferred something else entirely inside. We've added it to the library of children's books that we keep for when our niece's visit and I know for a fact they're going to love it.

Basic touch and feel book
Thought this book would of been a bit more' revolting ' as in the title but I think it's just a basic touch and feel book, my toddler especially loves the giants foot but other pages are a bit boring especially for a toddler.

Good fun and encourages children to love books
My 15 month old grandson Teddy is just starting to get interested in books, particularly interactive books. His mum was going to get him this book but got him a book with a glove puppet crocodile instead so she was also really pleased with this. Teds had great fun and spent a good ten minutes squishing and stoking the different textures whilst I read him the story ( I am in his and his sisters care bubble), so it proved a success and has encouraged him to become more interested in books.

Beautiful book
We love Roald Dahl's books and Quentin Blake's illustrations. In this book you can touch and feel the “revolting things”. It’s very funny. Our son loved it.
