Of the ones that work, I'd probably give it 4 stars. When they work as intended, they are okay, pretty cheaply made though. However, out of four of these that I purchased only 2 are working properly after 3 weeks.Upon installing the first set of batteries into one, it flashed on then shut off. I figured it had to just reset the motion sensor for a minute and i put it down. I installed batteries into the next one and picked then first one back up to see if it would work, the thing was burning hot. I quickly took the batteries out the find they were burning hot as well. The device was shorted on delivery. Luckily I didn't let it sit any longer, otherwise it probably would have caused a fire.The second one to go bad worked fine for 3 weeks or so, and then it just stopped turning on. I took the batteries out and put them back in and it turn on (brightly) again, but the motion sensor must be broken because it will never turn on again after that. So if you want it to turn on, you have to remove and replace the batteries.

I bought 5 of these units for use in unlit small closets at a lake cabin. They were very easy to install, about 5 minutes per unit. I placed the provided adhesive strip at the front edge of the undersurface of the closet shelf. The adhesive strip adhered firmly to the wood shelf. The adhesive strip is also a magnet, which easily holds the light bar in place. The button like infrared sensor at the center of the bar detects the entry of a person into the closet and turns on the light. The light quickly turns on when the closet is entered, and remains on for about 15 seconds, then turns off. The light is bright enough to see clearly inside the closet. and the time interval is sufficient to find an article and depart. The unit uses three AAA batteries (not provided). We have found the lights to be both useful and reliable. Unfortunately, one of the units had a faulty infrared sensor, and had to be returned. I intend to get another, and would recommend them highly. The dark and spooky closets are now useful!

Our situation; we had an under the stairs storage area turned into a pantry and of course there was no electricity to it. We tried "bright" LED from both Walmart and Ace. Neither were anywhere close to the brightness these ones put out. If I had to put a number on it, I would say the Walmart and Ace ones were at most only 25% as bright as the Danibos. The magenet is a great feature in that it allows you to easily remove the light to replace batteries without removing stickers or dismounting from screws. There is a plus and a minus to the adhesive; minus is that its not really that adhesive; plus is that its not that adhesive and allows you to move it around if you think it belongs somewhere else as it maintains the stickiness. Another plus is that until we discovered the adhesive issue the light dropped fromt about 7 feet up with no negative effects. I'm ordering 2 more of these.Edit 10/27/14 first unit turned out to be defective. Bottom battery corroded and at first I thought it was a bad battery (Costco Kirkland brand) but, it did it on two more sets of brand new batteries. I believe it was just one defective unit as the other two are working fine.

Bought two of these for a walk-in closet that was built on as an addition but was not wired by the previous owner. They work perfectly, coming on as soon as you step in and going off about ten seconds after leaving. The light is well bright enough for all the nooks and crannies such as the floor to ceiling shelving, but not garish or harsh. They were extremely easy to put up and have been solid without any sign of loosening from the drywall. Excellent product for spaces where there's no power outlet, would highly recommend.

This is seriously sensitive. A little shadow and it will trigger the motion sensor. I like it so far. DO NOT place this where it can sense shadows passing by thru slits of your cabinet. It will turn on again and again until it drains out the batteries.

This is an example of a product that's little and simple and yet makes you life so much better! It's a convenience that soon becomes a necessity. I bought one for a dark kitchen cabinet and found that I had to have one for all of them! I like that the light can be removed from the wall to change the batteries without having to remove the sticky tape.

Smaller than I expected. I bought two for my kitchen pantry and have them mounted inside so they don't go on all the time, but I have to keep waving my hand in front of them so that they stay on. Decent light but I definitely needed at least two. Expected something bigger for the price. Pay attention to the measurements as I did not even look at them.

This works as good as promised! I actually placed it on the inside closet door, and when I stick my hand in the closet to wade thru shirts and suits, it pops on and allows me to grab the right clothing, then auto-shuts off 10 seconds later. It could be about 2 inches longer, but I'll just end up buying another one. If you are in an older house designed before everything on the planet was electric and needed an outlet, this is a great tool for closets, stairs and cupboards. Highly recommended.
