I’ve been really happy with this Natural Balance Limited Ingredient dog food. One of my dogs has sensitive skin, and this formula has worked well for him. The limited ingredient formula is a big reason I chose it because it’s nice to know exactly what they’re eating without a lot of unnecessary fillers. The ingredients seem high quality and the kibble size is good. Both of my dogs eat it without any issues and seem to enjoy the flavor. I’ve also noticed their coats look healthy and they tolerate this food well. Overall this has been a great option for dogs with sensitivities, and I like that the ingredient list is simple and easy to understand.

Fantastic dog food for my dog that seems to be allergic to most every other dog food, treats. Etc!! Rarely see her scratch now, which she was doing OFTEN, plus paw and leg locking. Please, NEVER sell this product to another company!! We will be customers FOREVER!!

My dog is allergic to chicken (I know, how is that even possible?) This is a great option for her! I wish it wasn’t so expensive

We have a Shiba Inu. The breed is prone to chicken allergies. She ended up in the hospital after eating a food with chicken. We tried this salmon based food, and she has eaten it for 6 weeks. This limited ingredient food containing fish and no grains has been an amazing transformation for her. No more stomach issues at all, and an added bonus is that her fur has become incredibly soft and shedding is not as bad as this same time last year!

UPDATE: 01/31/2025 Fourth month in and my dog is doing great. Only problem is this month I didn't get my Natural Balance. I got Blue Buffalo Select Perfect Skin and Coat. It is Salmon but it has grains in it. That, I was trying to stay away from. It is still free of Chicken of any kind and the other things that bother her so we will give it a whirl. Somebody wasn't doing there job because it doesn't say my regular food is out. It is too much of a hassle to send it back. We will see how it goes. Of course I was charged for my other food which was $1+ more. LOL The Natural Balance does last longer than the other food she was getting. I free feed but she doesn't eat a whole lot at a time. Which is good. I switched to it for the limited ingredients and it seems to suit my baby just fine. It is expensive but she is worth it. She is a Black Mouth Cur and starting to get up there in age. But if she's happy' I'm happy.

I have been feeding my dog Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish since he was a puppy, and it has been a consistent winner for almost 13 years now. Early on, we discovered he had a poultry allergy, which made finding a food he would actually eat a real challenge. This formula was a lifesaver. Not only did he love the taste, but it also agreed with his sensitive stomach. When he was a puppy, we started with the easy-to-eat bites (Natural Balance makes a puppy version of this), which made transitioning to the adult version of this food simple. As he grew, we moved him to the adult kibble, and he has continued to enjoy it without any issues. Over the years, I’ve noticed he maintains healthy energy levels, a shiny coat, and good digestion, all signs that this food really works for him. It’s also convenient because it’s easy to store, measure, and feed, making mealtime simple. I’ve tried other brands, but nothing compares to how reliably he enjoys this food and how well it suits his needs. For any dog with sensitivities or just a picky eater, this is a fantastic option. Five stars without a doubt. It has been a staple in our household for over a decade and we couldn’t be happier with it.

My shepherds both are allergic to a lot. This is the only food, including other brands of salmon dog food, that made my dog's bowel movements normal and stopped the itchy ears and smelly feet. I do add a supplement because it's my understanding that you need to supplement them when they are on a limited ingredient diet. It must taste good to them because my Mal is very picky but likes it.

We have been loyal buyers of this dog food for years and decided to try purchasing it on Amazon for the convenience, even though it's more expensive than buying it at the pet store. Not having to haul a heavy bag to the car and into the house was appealing. We've purchased it from Amazon a total of five times. However, the last two bags—over the past two months—seemed problematic. We have four dogs, and three of them experienced issues after eating the food. One began vomiting and had irregular stool, while another completely lost interest in eating it and eventually refused to touch it. We also noticed the food started turning lighter in color unusually quickly—within a few days, rather than near the end of the bag as we typically expect. We overlooked the first bag, but when one of our dogs completely stopped eating and developed stomach noises after consuming food from the second bag, we decided to stop feeding them with it altogether. Instead, we went back to buying the food from the pet store. After just two meals of the pet store-bought food, the dog who had stopped eating returned to normal. Additionally, we observed a difference in the kibble sizes. The Amazon-purchased food had smaller bits compared to the pet store version. We know there’s a "small bites" version available, but these were not from that specific line. We’re uncertain whether this brand has issues with counterfeit or imitation products, but clearly, something isn't right. Unfortunately, we won’t be purchasing this dog food from Amazon again.
