Great for occasional use. Not so much for this OTR trucker!
I have had 3 of these in 4 years. As an OTR trucker, I run them 24/7. The good is that when they work they keep everything cool. Close to refrigerator quality. The bad: Poor customer service. When my first one quit working, I called customer service, who did not even suggest a new cord!I have lost track of how many cords I have purchased @ about $20.00 ea. The frustration of throwing away food everytime this happens is annoying. Also, the cord easily comes loose. So, once again, food loss. The first one I had closed easily, the other 2 would hang up when you close them and you have to shove one lid down. As a 2 step process, I have missed step 2 more than once. Then it is warm inside with ice build up.The handle is a dirt magnet. Why have that received area? Also, Igloo in relief on the lid. As a trucker, I am around dirt and dust all the time, and find myself rolling my eyes as I use a q-tip to get in the tight spots to clean. One of mine had issues with ice build up and I had to turn it off about 15 minutes and clean the pond in the bottom of the unit.Anyway, I think it is great for the occasional user. Not so good for someone who depends on it.I just bought a 12v refrigerator. Finger x'd!!

Needs To Cool 3 Hours
You won't see it written in the description but there is a sticker on the top of the cooler that suggests running the unit to cool it down for 3 hours before using. Wish I knew that before buying it. We live 50 miles from the closest large town and wanted the cooler in case we bought frozen food or meat when we were in town. We're better off just taking our Igloo ice chest and buying a bag of ice.

We’ve had ours three years and use it 30 days in a row while camping in Florida. We use it in the truck on our way down and home. It’s paid for itself over the years and saved us from fast food restaurants both ways.
