My Busy Green Garden

I found this book because my 3-year-old grandson randomly renamed lime green and started calling it “busy green.” We have no idea where he got that, but I got on Amazon and searched “busy green” and this book popped up. It is his FAVORITE book! The illustrations are awesome, but the repetition, the rich verbs, the rhyming... it’s just perfect for his age and his interest. He memorized the text within a week or so, and he puts in the feeling and emotion as he says it. I fervently hope they’ll come out with another book soon!

This is a sweet, poetic book that gets children excited and intrigued by all that lives in the garden. The illustrations are beautiful and I've seen how kids are drawn to the vivid details and enjoy the text's rhythmic language.

This book is more complex than it might first seem! Fabulous building text perfect for kids curious about bugs and gardens and how all things in nature are related. Perfectly written.
