Great to play in the car, old memories.

I've wanted this collection for a donkey's age but never actually got around to buying it until recently. 3 cds with 17 classic Thin Lizzy tunes on each. All for less than £7! Can't go wrong with that.

Thin Lizzy’s career, from their formation in 1969 to the death of Phil Lynott in 1986, managed to encompass both acclaimed hard rock albums, and a string of successful singles. This 3CD collection pulls together the popular singles like Dancing in the Moonlight and The Boys are back in Town with classic album tracks like Emerald and Roisin Dubh (Black Rose): A Rock Legend. It’s a good all round overview and for the price, an excellent introduction to the band’s recorded output.Packaging is minimal, a triple fold card sleeve with slots to seat the discs. The back cover features the full track list, which is repeated on the interior with the track credits, and brief thumbnail size cover artwork from a selection of the albums and that’s it. No booklet or any history of the band, which given the budget nature of this collection is unsurprising. It’s really all about the music and with a total of 51 tracks here, this is a superb collection of Thin Lizzy’s finest moments.

Still today, one of the best rock n roll bands that came out of Ireland, and that's all I have to say about it.

Il tutto parte da un viaggio organizzato in Irlanda....Una sera a Dublino e precisamente in Harry Street mi ritrovo a cenare nel famoso Pub Bruxelles Bar dove di fronte c'è la statua Di Phil Lynott bassista dei Thin Lizzy. Personalmente di questo gruppo conoscevo qualche brano, ma grazie a questo viaggio Irlandese che ha suscitato la mia curiosità a conoscere questo gruppo. Da qui nasce l'acquisto di questa meravigliosa raccolta che con i suoi 51 brani ho scoperto la grande genialità di Lynott nei suoi particolari e personali fraseggi di basso di cui in futuro ha ispirato grandi bassisti come Steve Harris,Cliff Burton etc etc
