Catherine Malandrino

There are not many books available about Catherine Maldandrino. This book was small but inspiring about a woman who always went her way and believed in her vision. Good read, made me want to meet her and have an afternoon conversation about how fashion has evolved over the years.

I like the book but I don't love it-I was expecting something a little more elaborate but it is about the same size as a children's book. I bought my wife who is a model and loves fashion a couple of Catherine Malandrino runway samples and this was a little extra to go along with it but it looks a little mini on our coffee table so it got shelved.

The book gives you a nice look at the fashion designer. The book is a bit short, only about eighty pages, but the photography is very good. It introduces us to Catherine Malandrino, who inspired by the movie "Easy Rider", came out with "Stars and Stripes" fashions in the beginning of this century and follows her career.
