I love to cook. I was so looking forward to this delivery coming to the house. Lets start with the packaging. Really nice box. The grater fits inside nicely in case you want to keep it in the box after each use to keep it all together. It is very easy to put together. Just put the grater that you select in and twist on the handle. The same goes for taking it apart to wash it. Just hold the grater in place from the inside with a dish rag and twist the handle counter clockwise and it comes apart nicely to wash.The grater worked fantastic. I put a chunk of cheddar in it for tacos. Perfectly grated cheese for our tacos. I can't wait to use it on parm for pasta.The grater is a really nice color as well. It is white and lime green, very bright and cheery. I love this product!I wrote this honest and fair review because I did receive this grater at a discount. But, honestly, I would pay full price for this in a heart beat. It is very well made and seems durable. And works perfectly. Does it's job fast.

Waas super excited about this as I had a pampered chef rotary grater than finally bit the dust after a few years of wear. I did not find the ergonomics or ease of using this device as had hoped. It did a great job grating cheese which is all we used it for, but what I absolutely despise about this devise is getting the handle off after use. I usually have to get my husband to do it and even he has to use a towel to try to muscle it off. On top of that the large grater broke in that it won't catch in the rotary wheel to turn - looks like one of the clasps broke off the barrel catch in less than 6 months of use with medium soft cheeses like chihuahua and mozzarella. Would not recommend this to anyone - very disappointed and only rated 2 stars because it did do a great job grating when operating, but other than that HATE IT!

This item is worse than I could have even imagined. Where should I even start?The two grater options are completely useless. Removing one requires such brute force that switching really isn't an option. Putting it in less tightly is also not an option because the handle will just come unscrewed when you use it.The design looks all sleek and modern, but don't be fooled. That sleek exterior hides an interior full of little compartments that attract grease and grime like a magnet and are just about impossible to clean.Speaking of cleaning, if you are going to have any hope of getting this thing completely clean you'll have to take it fully apart. Good luck doing that, as I mentioned above. But even if all the pieces are separated, there are some areas that just won't get clean and can't be reached by a normal scrub brush. I used a toothpick and had some success, but it still didn't get completely clean. On top of that, this seems to be made of a kind of plastic that stains easily, so even the attractive exterior won't stay that way.Overall, don't get this unless you care nothing for keeping your cooking implements clean.

I purchased this item when I decided to start eating healthier, which included cutting back on processed foods. I am by no means a good cook so I'm always looking for little gadgets that will make my life easier in the kitchen. I wanted to start grating my own cheese instead of buying the processed cheese already grated, and found this gadget to be appealing since the green matches the colors in my kitchen and it had really good reviews for people with hand issues.This product seems to work well if you can get a tight grip on the handle, but my hands are small and I also have RSI (repetitive strain injury) in my right hand which makes it very hard for me to keep a tight grip on anything for any length of time. After reading the reviews that this cheese grater was good for people with carpal tunnel, I was more than willing to try it. Unfortunately for me, it is very hard for me to get a firm grip on the handle, therefore I am constantly struggling to get the cheese grated in a timely manner before my hand starts to cramp up. But once I'm finished, the cheese is so much better tasting than the processed cheese and even with my hand issues, I find it worth it to take the time to grate the cheese.Cleanup is a breeze once you figure out how to take the grater apart. Read the directions!! I didn't bother to do that at first and was struggling to get the grater apart to put it in the dishwasher. I was scared to put my hand inside the rotary for fear of cutting myself, but once I read the directions and realized that that was exactly what you're supposed to do, taking it apart was a breeze. Just stick all the parts in the dishwasher and it's clean!The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is due to my own issues with smaller hands and painful issues with my right hand. If the manufacturer could figure out a way to keep pressure on the cheese (or whatever you're grating) without the consumer having to grip so tightly, this product would be amazingly simple and effective!

The cheese grater is great to use. I have used it twice to grate Parmesan cheese for salads and soups. I found out quickly that the bigger wheel is better to use on cheese. It makes short work of a block of cheese but is a little hard to turn. It could use more leverage, however, it is very easy to clean and has escaped unscathed one trip through the dish washer. (top rack) Fresh grated cheese maked everything taste better and this is an easy way to grate it right on to the food before you eat it with minimal mess. Just like the Italian resturants.

So much easier than a regular grater - easy to clean, especially if you let the drum soak in warm water for a few minutes before you try cleaning it. Easy to take apart as long as you don't tighten it too much when you put it together. As with any rotary grater, you'll have to use some muscle to squeeze it tight enough to grate, but that's rotary graters in general. Also, the fine drum is very fine - think very find shredded chocolate. I find that for most cheeses, the coarse drum works best.
