Withstood 4 months of puppyhood so far
This toy is extremely durable and makes for a great game of tug-of-war with a puppy. My Keeshond pup loves this toy and we still play with it now and he's 5 months old.The ring is a nice squidgy rubbery material that my pup likes to hold when we play tuggy - it sort of stretches almost, it's not rigid rubber - but his favourite is the rope part. He doesn't chew the rubber bit, which is a bit of a shame as it's supposed to be nice and natural. He does however like chewing the rope knots and also trying to dismantle the ends (he pulls off the frayed bits of rope, for this reason I wouldn't recommend this toy be left unsupervised with a dog). He has managed to undo one of the knots but I just tied it back up again. All in all I have no quarms with it, although I was initially a bit concerned that the ring had one side which was thinner so I thought it might break easily, but it has withstood lots of very intense tuggy games so I'm giving it top marks for now.

Smalls great as well as being popular with our dog.
The smell (vanilla) is very powerful and lasts for ages. Very good for training our dog to "find" . The product is strong and well made.

Worried that the rope is shorter than it used to be, not sure if it was a one-off production error
Our German Shepherd loves these toys, and normally they're great toys for visitors to engage with a tug of war with her. We do have to periodically purchase a new one as she does like to chew on the rope, and over time it therefore gets damaged. When it gets too bad we cut the rope off before it fully breaks away and keep the hoops. They seem very resistant to damage and don't even look marked, so we use them for games of fetch, etc.I normally purchase this product elsewhere and switched to Amazon for the latest purchase. The item we received has a noticeably shorter rope (I compared it with two old ones that we're about to remove the rope from). Sadly this really reduces the usefulness of this toy for us. A longer rope means the rather strong German Shepherd jaw is further away from visitors hands and she's less likely to accidently nip someone when excitedly playing. Most toys don't stand up indefinitely to a German Shepherd's jaw, and this type of rope isn't indestructible. I feel it's good value for money and would probably work very well for medium sized dogs. If the shortened rope is a product revision as opposed to a one off production error, I'd have reservations about it's usefulness for larger dogs.

Best durable chew toy for Staffie
Best hard-wearing chew toy for any dog with a strong jaw. I have bought lots of "durable" "tough" chew toys for my dog and she normally breaks off bits after 5mns of chewing them. This one is great and actually does last without breaking. It’s her favourite toy of all time. I take off the rope first though because it goes to shreds straight away.

Too fragile
I've bought 3 of the larger rings in the past few years. The last two lasted less than a month. I play tug-of-war with my 35kg Golden Retriever, which he adores, so I expect wear and tear and eventual failure, it is a dog toy after all, but not for them to fail this quickly. He doesn't chew them, the rings just break. The rubber is too soft and stretchy, or at least it is on the most recent ones. The first one lasted over a year and I felt was made of harder, more durable rubber, so I don't know if the material spec has been changed. In theory a great toy, but I can't afford to replace them more than 12 times a year! I'm looking for a tougher alternative.I can't recommend this therefore.

Strong, natural, fun
My dog loves it. Unlike soft toys this one lasts. She loves playing pull and picking it up and flinging it. Worth the money.

Great toy, but rope is unnecessary.
The hoop itself is brilliant. My Labrador loves it's bendy texture and has managed not to destroy it! The rope was chewed and shredded in minutes, though. Would have preferred to buy the hoop on its own.
