- 500 Song KARAOKE HITS CDG Starter/Filler: Country Pop Oldies R&B Standards

This set gives you a pretty good range of songs for a group gathering. The songs are mostly 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s hits but there are so many classics included that have been covered by newer artists that someone from any age group can find something to sing. These are all CD-G disks so if your machine does not support that format, don't get these. The words change color on the screen when it's time for them to be sung and the color change comes at the right time so that the songs are easy to sing and get the timing right by following the words. The mix on these is fairly good so that the backing doesn't overpower your vocals nor get lost under your vocals. We had a fairly large sound system with some good speakers and most of the songs came out surprisingly well. We got these for a very large gathering and everyone had a lot of fun with them.

Really nice set of CDs, The PDF CD had accurate and nicely formatted ready to print list to add to my songs book and the computer CDG tool was a really nice surprise. Very pleased with this Purchase and the List CD had lists for other sets from the company. I will use this information to choose my next set to purchase.

I have a group of friends who are karaoke junkies - we visit each other for regular parties. This is a really nice set for a good price with a good mix of party music, classics and oldies. Yes, there are some duplicates and the printed list on the CD is often wrong or missing songs. It looks like the great list provided by an earlier reviewer has changed some - here's the current listing based on the disks I just received. I highly recommend this Karaoke CDG collection. You won't be disappointed with the song selection. There is song for everyone to pick to sing. My husband was really happy and my friends. We had a great time when ever we gather for karaoke night. And you cannot beat the price for this CDG its a great price. So if you are looking for Karaoke song this is the ONE. It was well pack and also there is a music list the you just need to print. Very happy with my purchase and awesome price.

I got my cds and although the wrapping it came in was not the best I still song my little heart out. I gave it only 3 stars because it was quite a few repeats on several discs, some of the songs wasn't recorded well, I thought the paper list of songs came with the cds (I got a cd to print out the list myself which I can't do because my computer is broken) and I wasn't charged the 3.99 for s/h as advertised. I was charged more. All in all it is a nice collection of songs to have for your karaoke night.

LOTS to pick from and decent price. First time karaoker, and it was easy and made a great girls night in. I am confused why some buyers trash this product thinking that a karaoke song would have original artist??? That it the whole point of karaoke - AMATEUR SINGER... Tracks are laid down by professional (not original) musicians "in the style of 'said original' artist." You may get background vocals or lead vocals, that are very similar in the arrangement to the original. It is up to you to find your voice and tweak the song with your own runs and howls and dips and artistry. Google karaoke and see what it is all about. I had a few songs that the graphics (lyrics) were shimmying. This is indicative of very low resolution and over produced copies. However, that is why you are not paying $10 per disc of 20 songs. Low rez allows for more space on the cd for more songs...so it's a compromise. There are duplicate songs because they were covered by different arrangements, different periods of time. The music is excellent and backup vocals were spot-on. It's not a big risk to buy 500 songs here for $40, because you or your friends will find loads of songs that you didn't know you knew and loved. This set is a great starter set, dip your toe in the karaoke pool, and just goof off. These cds work in my low grade little all-in-one karaoke machine. I have not tried to load them into any PC or Mac O/S karaoke software, but not reason to assume they would not upload, providing your software allows disc upload of CD-G. Very, very surprised at how good it was - and I am really a sour skeptic.

All songs sounds fantastic. Very easy to follow along with the lyrics. All my expectations were met on every level. If you like karaoke, this is a must have collection.
