Asahi Industry -Stainless, Fish Bone Tweezers II

I love these! I have bought a couple of pairs now. The plastic that is between the handles break too easy though. I went to buy another pair and for some reason all sellers now want $110!!! That price is crazy and it is definitely NOT worth that! But for the $28 I first paid it was great. And they were new for that price. I would recommend if it was still that price, but they are definitely not worth buying for $110. There are other kinds you can buy that are cheaper and work just as well.

For years I had been using a pair of thin pliers to remove salmon bones. I always wondered if there was a tool for this purpose. Well, here it is. Pros: It works! You must use the tool with some restraint as you might if you were pulling a splinter out of a finger. You can't just yank and tug or the bone will break off in the fish. But it works, and does not mutilate the fish in the process. Cons: The spring -- the curved U between the handles -- is made of PLASTIC. The instructions are in Japanese (which I don't read), but I can't imagine this product could be placed in a hot dishwasher. Furthermore, the plastic is flimsy and won't last forever. As long as the plastic spring holds, then this tweezer will do the job beautifully.

It's ok for home use.I have bought 20 + pairs and the plastic spring wears out - It's a terrible design for a stainless puller.I have had a few plastic springs snap and break right out of the package.

Mine worked for about 2 years then one of the metal bars that attaches to both handles broke off of its plastic connector. I have not been able to reconnect the of the metal bar back successfully. So, the tension that the bar created to open the tweezers does not work any longer. For the cost of the item you would think that it would last 4-5 years at least. I was very careful to only hand wash it too!

Easy to use for removing fish bones or chicken feathers. nice feel. good grab. easy to clean. Definitely would buy as gift for a foodie.

Smaller than I expected but seems to do the job fine so far. Not sure how they will stand the test of time.
