Cattle Farming - No experience? No problem!!!
The book was delivered in a timely manner and was exactly what I was looking for... It offers easy to understand information and takes the reader step by step through the process of selecting the best breed for your needs, through supplies you will need. It also guides you through the feeding, raising & selling process. You won't be disapointed with this book.

Great book for reference! !
LOVE the recipes for milk, butter, cheese-making. Smaller book than expected, though.

This book is a good, brief overview
This book is a good, brief overview, but it doesn't provide much detail. I read it in one night (like I said, low information) and got a little frustrated by the end. Each section seemed to say something along the lines of "do your research" on this subject. I didn't buy it looking to read Storey's Guide to Raising Beef Cattle, 3rd Edition , but not a single subject was really discussed at a length that made me understand more than I already had. -And I've never owned a cow! Pretty disappointed.

Too Basic to be Useful
This book is too basic to be useful. It took no time to read and digest the basic info provided. Most sections give general or no guidelines for any aspect of raising and keeping cows. Many sections suggest further reading elsewhere. Save your money and start elsewhere. I recommend The Family Cow by Dirk Van Loon and The Backyard Cow by Sue Weaver.
