I ordered these because I have several newly transplanted plants that need daily watering. Some assembly was required, but it was pretty easy. The drips were easy to install in the soil (outside garden) and worked with most of the threaded bottles that we have around the house. By setting a slow drip, all of my new plants survived a 24+ 90-degree sunny day without any stress. The picture shows one of my new lavender plants with the tip of the drip in the soil, near the root.

THESE DON'T ACTUALLY WORK!! They are cheap plastic, no waterbottle really 'fits' so they leak everywhere. Within a day, all of the water bottles were completely empty. Left for 2 weeks and all of my plants were dead. Don't buy these... such a joke.

These would probably work best on small potted plants. Very lightweight so only small plastic bottles will work. I didn't have much luck with adjusting the spout to provide more water. At lowest drip level, water lasted only about 3 days in my outdoor environment.

Spikes are easy to assemble and have a variable water flow BUT you can only use Aquafina or standard 16.9 fluid oz pop bottles. The cheaper water bottles have too short of an opening for the screw top or a hard plastic ring molded into the bottle itself which restricts the spike fitting correctly. Other than the expense of buying the higher-priced water to get started (or in my case, being patient while my kids go through a couple of soda 6-packs each) it's a neat gadget and I will definitely get more as I expand my garden area...

I purchased these before a trip out of town to water my plants. Unfortunately, they don't work very well. The drip valve is very hard to get right and they either didn't water at all or they ran out of water within the first day. I worked with them for a week before we left and they never seemed to want to work right. Great concept though.

I bought it to use to water some pot-bound Boston Ferns I have on the porch works perfectly only thing they showed using a water bottle and I found that only a two liter bottle works

Instructions say to use a specific brand of water bottle but they don’t work. Tried all different sizes. Ended up using a coke bottle and it worked. I tried to get the pace of the drip to work over several days. Never worked correctly. HUGE waste of money.
