Amy is a fantastic educator. This book is a great addition to any artistic library. Whether you are an advanced artist or just starting to learn color theory and begin your journey in the arts. This book will challenge you and create growth. I highly recommend this.One thing I enjoyed was that the author and publisher were kind enough to make the templates for assignments available online so you can use this book over again and again with a class or pass it along to a friend!Personally, I plan to keep it for my own collection of art making books. I feel it's a cornerstone publication for all artists.

Excellent resource and very helpful resource. But, the color wheel, value scale , and intensity sheet don;t seem to be available on line.

When I first skimmed through I thought “oh no”. This looks complicated! Im already working on the first assignment! Down loading worksheets from her web sight was a breeze! The picture is a downloaded picture of what is in her book! Directions are easy to follow. What really excited me is she prefers “Prismcolor Premier” Pencils but will give colors of other artist brand pencil. I was using my prismcolors to make a color wheel with other books but this book shows which red, blue, yellow to keep mixtures from looking like mud! This is a keeper!

This is a wonderful book for learning to use color, geared especially towards colored pencils. When you purchase this one, it's best to prepare yourself to do the work the author describes--it's truly the only way to understand what you can do with a multitude of pencil colors and brands! I'd like to see a packet of the pre-printed worksheets on the Bristol velum offered for an add-on, as it's been very difficult to get these printed out on this kind of paper, and has slowed my progress through this learning experience.

The actual book looks fine and I was very excited to get it. First thing I did was go to the authors website to look at the pdf download and hope to get a relative to print it out for me (covid restrictions and I'm disabled so no one wants to 'endanger' me.) But on my cell phone at least there is no pdf. In fact the address gets changed automatically (rerouted?) so I tried it several times.I don't know how helpful a book like this will be with no interaction and just reading about the concept. But it definitely is not worth the money for me now. All I feel is frustration.

I make jewelry as a hobby and this should help me with new ideas for using colors together. I was happy to find it.

This is a workbook. In order to get the most out of it if you need work the work book. There's a link in the book for the worksheet pages. It's different then anything else I've seen and has greatly increased my respect of artist that can create unique colors. I have even signed up for the workshops available on the website. If you want to take your coloring to the next level this is a fantastic start.
