Ideal for instrument mics, like the Shure SM-57
This is not a complicated item, except that they can be hard to find. It's a wind sock for a Shure SM-57 microphone, or others of a similar size; namely a cylinder with a 1" diameter. If you have a SM-58, with the ball-shaped head, you need the more common wind sock.

Great for SM94 not to pop
Just what I needed for my SM94 from Shure. Stops pops and wind noise. Doesn't alter the sound of the mike.

A Universal fix.
Works well and without reducing much volume. An easy fix for less than perfect conditions. Also, even in good conditions these things help reduce pop and splatter.

Used to double up the original foam and it did work to cut down on the "puhh" sounds.
Experienced excessive "puhh" sounds on a Shure CVG18-B/C. Figured that it could use more foam. Original foam is not removable. This item went right over the original foam and did the trick. Very happy with this purchase.
