If i have a 35 inch waist circumference, would you reccomend that i go with a small/medium or a large/x-large?

I am 32-33 inch and got a large. It barley secures, go for the largest the carry.

I think it would. I'm a photographer, so that's what I mainly use it for. I haven't tried running or lifting weights with it. But as far as back support. It's great. After a 10 hour day of being on your feet, kneeling and bending down a million times. I must say its a great product.

Is it good for protecting your back while moving furniture and really heavy weight?
