I ordered these and they do not fit my filter housing. I have 1 1/4 inch outlets and these are for 1 inch outlets. This is NOT stated in the ad. They only give the size of the barbed fittings.

...being exposed 24/7 to the elements can make them not work correctly. The clamping action will not allow them to hold tight. I got these so when that happens, and it will, the pond fish won't mind at all.

Having purchased a tetra high debris pond pump that comes with a barbed hose fitting of 1.25 in., I was hoping this would solve my need to reduce the size so as to connect the .75 inch hose to my filtering system.Unable to snap the large end of the quick fit to the pump, I ended up filing the barb enough to allow the coupling to make the connection. Still was very tight, had to use force to complete the attachment.Would not have worked without this modification.

A decent price for the couplers, however these are probably the weakest point in the Laguna filtration system. If you use these with the Laguna spiral pond hose they will almost always leak if you don't use some sort of additional sealant, since these barbs are meant for smooth hose not the spiral hose the same manufacturer sells. All in all they do their job and if you need to hook up to your Laguna equipment these are the only option they just don't work well with their own hose.

I love that I bought this and have no idea what it goes to. I understand The basics ( water is involved in this clicks into something else, etc. ).Now I need to get that something else and connect it to this

Very well made but I purchased it by accident. The product was delivered promptly and was well packaged. The construction of this coupling is very sturdy. I think that if you have need for such a device at the manufactured size, you'll not be sorry if you purchase this one.

More plastic in the world but it fitted an old pump and worked. Suitable for Laguna pumps of the right size as stated.
