The author broaches many complex subjects and the many challenges facing western Muslims. He digs into some of the causes underpinning the conditions of Muslim society in Europe - internal and external - and provides useful religious paradigms (most notably Ishmaelism and Lahhabism) to help navigate the reader through much of the subject matter.

This is a gem. A beautifully written work with rich and dense style, but so much to learn from. I was laughing out loud at some places, it is a positive book with a hopeful perspective.

The English of the author is phenomenally good and this serves his at times brilliant articulation. Challenging to read but stimulating and full of well thought out insights.

A very thought-provoking book. If the challenge for Muslims living with and in hyper-modernity interests you, this book acts as a foil to both mainstream left- and right-wing discourse. The tone is quietly confident, supremely calm, and deeply grounded in Islam.

It helps you to see from a different perspective which has great knowledge and lots of observation.

This book is amazing in terms of both the content and the style in which it is written.It is not a story with a beginning and an end, it is an invaluable collection of extremely relevant stories, and pertinent points. It gives a really good perspective about muslim lives in Europe. Do consider each chapter in its own light. Full of both humour and serious points.As a British Muslim, I can really relate to and feel connected to the serious but very enjoyable compilation. It reflects European view as opposed to the populist view perpetrated by Imams from the East with limited understanding of the live we live here in EuropeHighly recommended
