A WEALTH OF INFORMATION
This may be a 'little book', but there's nothing little about the wealth of information packed into it. The writer has a great sense of humor that shines through and the layout of the book is very well done. Lots of interesting facts interspersed with beautiful pictures. My ancestry is Norwegian and I always enjoy anything having to do with Norway and Norwegians. This book was a perfect sample of what it is to be Scandi!

How fun!
How fun!I really do not know anything about Scandinavia (despite being the descendant of Scandinavians, thanks Ancestry DNA) so this was an entertaining peek into life in a place I'd like to visit (but realistically it is just way too expensive to go.)I'm feeling inspired to go ride a bike somewhere and take a coffee break later this afternoon.Recommended.arc received from the publishers

get cozy in Scandinavia
Much has now been written about hygge, lagom, fika and other takes on Scandinavian culture. Now that winter is here, this may be the perfect time to learn more about the Scandinavian countries and what makes each unique. This gorgeously illustrated, at times tongue in cheek, book is a good starting point. Subjects covered include style, food, the outdoors, family life, culture and celebrations. Enjoy your trip to Sweden, Norway and Denmark with Bronte Aurell; he makes quite a guide. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this read in exchange for an honest review.

This is a reissue of "North"
I love reading anything by Bronte Aurell and "North" is my favorite book by her. I was so excited to see that there was another book she had written that I did not have and had not yet read. However I must have missed the part that mentions this is a reissue of "North". After I received it and started reading it, I kept thinking 'this sounds so familiar' but I couldn't figure out why as I did not have a book by the title of "The Little Book of Scandi". So I started looking for the title page [it's in the back] and then I saw that it was in fact a reissue of a book I love. I was disappointed to say the least as I had hoped for something new from the author. My fault of course, but for anyone reading reviews who has not noticed that this is a reissue, you are forewarned!

Buy North instead!!!
The Little Book of Scandi Living looks like it’s just a reprint of North. I don’t know what other differences there are, but I looked at both in person and North is much higher quality AND it has more recipes. I bought The Little Book of Scandi Living on Kindle thinking the print quality wouldn’t matter since it was digital but I returned it as soon as I realized that it didn’t have the fantastic recipes for Lussekatter and Kanelbullar that I’d tried and loved when I checked North out from the library.

The Little Book of Scandi Living
The Little Book of Scandi Living by Bronte Aurell is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in early December.Scandi style, culture, history, things to do, holidays, ethnography, the spoken & written word, and foods presented with photos and illustrations, though it's more of a manual on the quirks of this area and how to fit in.

Oh dear...
Praiseworthy attempt to elucidate the "soul" of Scandinavia...BUT....marred by a number of annoying, small mistakes/typos/language mash-ups, such as incorrect plurals, wrong infinitive endings, wrong vowels in a weird mix of Scandinavian languages...and (at least) one major error: the Norwegian Harald hardrada was not beaten at Stamford bridge by William the conqueror...oh dear...do you not have editors? Proofreaders? Fact checkers? This text is/was intended as a gift to English-speaking friends...but what other mistakes/errors might be lurking? Too bad, it is nicely illustrated, fun and funny, with a cosy, intimate and warm tone....and would have been a charming hostess-gift...oh dear...

I was very much looking forward to reading this book but I have received a blank book! It’s full of blank pages! I am so disappointed. I will update this if the seller sorts this for me. I have sent them photos.
