Its round shape means no corners to bonk against. Its slim handle makes it easy to quickly switch the grasping orientation, which is important for slicker brushes that are designed to brush only in one direction. My ragdoll is silky smooth after brushing her with it. Great brush.

This particular pin brush is my cat's favorite and I have no idea why. It is comfortable in the hand and I have 2 blown thumb joints and very painful wrists. But when I brush her, her butt goes in the air and she'll sit forever while I use it. I do find it extremely helpful for mats and she's one of the hairiest cats we've ever had. I've never been fond of the plastic cheapo pin brushes but I trust things made in Germany very much after spending 8 years there. I highly recommend this brush and others of this line.

I have 2 Shih Tsus. I had a tough time justifying the extra cost for this brand brush. I finally bit the bullet and bought one. Absolutely worth the extra $$!! The dogs are happier, it goes through the snarls easier and faster, and it doesn’t break the hair like the cheaper ones do. One of the dogs is in long show length. The other is in medium length coat.

I liked the brush at first as it let you brush through more of the body very quickly without snagging, but its not a 5 as its actually much rougher than expected. I purposely bought this expensive brush because of the information on the Chris Christensen site about the "touch test" but actually this scratches my arm and the other cheap Lil Slickers brand doesn't. The metal isn't tipped so its rough. My dog who loved our night time routine of brushing now tries to bite me when I use this brush so my husband told me to throw it out. Thank goodness he doesn't know what it cost! I wont be using it anymore - poor puppy.

This is a slicker brush works wonders !!! And lasts many years whether you have 3-9 dogs etc It’s designed for poodles ? Toys to stds( but works great on any dog matted , weeds etc After 5-7 yrs I got a 2nd one. Whereas I’d buy 1-2 yearly. Oh this won’t hurt your dog(s) like others do ! The tines don’t bend handle ergonomic is awesome. Best one ever made ! Can use in a neighbors car that used to Mat lol

My dog hates being groomed - but she hates this the least - I am able to get a few knots out before she starts growling at me.The build quality and the needles are quite good.

Perfect for my Norwegian buhund pup. Gentle, soothing, easily glides through her longer coarse hair at her neck, as well as the soft sparse hair on her belly. Beautifully made.
