Alvar Aalto: Paradise for the Man in the Street

I wanted a book which showed photos and diagrams of Aalto's greatest houses and buildings.This book was just what I was looking for. I don't want a book with long dissertations about his life and work. Look elsewhere for that. I like this little book a lot. It's is colorful and inexpensive. I recommend it.

A nice heavy book if not a bit small. Some good color photos and smaller b&w images. I will buy others in this series!

This is one of the excellent Taschen 25th anniversary releases. Hardback,large format,with clear and well-researched text. The pictures are the main selling-point though. Illustrations are drawn from a huge variety of sources,from vintage work-in-progress sketches through to recent large photographs of Aalto icons. Anyone,from a school-pupil through to an architect student will find this book user-friendly and informative.
