Das Leben der anderen

This text has proved tremendously helpful in teaching the film to a class of A-level students, even though it is actually aimed at university students of film in Germany. It covers the various themes of the film in detail, it includes interviews with the actor Ulrich Mühe as well as with many others who have pertinent views on the GDR. The many photos and the clear presentation of each section make it a real pleasure to use. There are even suggested questions and tasks to involve students and make them think.
