VFM and kudos to egate to launch a fhd projector at the lowest price and it is not bad at all
This review is for the native FHD projector.Yes, it is a native 1080p led projector. connected this to my desktop computer and tested also.Dont bother trying to play videos from USB. Quality is bad.But when connected to right streaming or display source thru hdmi, it is actually quite good. I mean picture quality, colours, brightness etc for a sub 10k projector. In this department this projector can easily compete with many projectors in sub 15k ranges.Sound is also pretty much okay, loud enough more like boat 5w speakers, may be a bit more louder not good quality wise. Quitr workable as portable solution, but not for a permanent setup.Audio output to my studio headphones are pretty decent quality wise and loud also. Meaning 2.1 speakers can be connected to it, for a higher setup, person has to figure out to seperate the audio at the source itself. From 9ft and 3-4 inches distance of lens to wall, we can get exactly 100 inch(87 inch x 49 inch) projection. So, it can be called as short throw projector, albiet may be border level. There is an option to reduce the screen size upto 75% of original size electronically once connected to HDMI.Keystone correction is not usuable at all. That wheel has to be exatly in middle position to get a good focus on whole screen. That means one has to setup the projector or screen at a fixed location. Can not lilt the projector to move screen up or down and then adjust with keystone correction. I. e if you want to keep the projector screen at lower levels, projector also has to fixed at lower levels only. Best focus can be get, when projecting exactly oppsite to the projector probably 5 to 6 inch above, so if we flip the projector upside down, we get best focus opposite to center a few inches down. For mysetup, where projecting only 1.5 feet above from the floor, going to use a wall mount to setup the projector upside down, this way i can fix the projector a bit more above/behind the sofa. I will post the pics later, once it is setup properly. Now the verdict - this projector with a combination of reflective projector screen( look it up on amazon xelectron or minago brand) is one of most vfm combo for approx 11k for experiencing a very bright 100 inch screen experience of good quality for 1 or 2 person. But now that im considering buying one of those expensive fixed frame alr projector screens costing upward of 15k to 30k, im thinikg it would have been better if i could have invested a bit more on a brighter projector(look only ANSI value). This buy was more of an impulse purchase, but it is more then good enough for me now to make me consider much costlier projector screens and then later upgrade to a high end projector.Edit: the biggest drawback of this projector is that dust gets inside on lcd panel, which impacts the clarity also after a few days. I had to clean the panel myselg just after 1.5 month. New lesson learnt, apart from high ansi lumen projector, this is also an important factor for future purchase. Planning to get a custom cloth cover made, so that i dont have to clean it often. Though, Lcd cleaning can be done pretty easily without much opening and its easier compared to youtube videos i have seen for previous model. Somehow lens did not get any dust inside yet. Only the lcd has very very fine dust particles inside.

Egate Projectors are Mediocre, and they have a useless Service Support. Please avoid!
This is my second Egate Projector (I had Egate I9 Pro before this). I bought it at INR 22k after doing a lot of research and comparing many brands. My requirements are a projector that we can watch even during the day because we do not own a TV.Pros:1. Easy Setup - There is nothing to setup to be honest as this is not an Android projector. The only thing to be setup was the Keystone correction, which is pretty easy with the remote2. Excellent brightness - It has the best brightness of any projector I have used so far. So much so that we could watch it during daytime with curtains drawn, with as much light in the room that you could eat or the kids can play3. Picture Quality - It could have been better but it is OK, quite comparable to the cheaper models like i9 pro4. Digital Keystone correction - It works well, something it's predecessors missedCons:1. Bulky - It is big in size, i.e. not quite portable as it will not fit in your usual laptop bag2. Interface - It's boring, they haven't upgraded much since I bought the i9 pro in 2017. Other brand projectors such as Wanbo have a better interface which looks more professional3. Keystone Correction - The physical keystone correction has the same problems that its predecessors like i9 had, the corners get blurred if you use physical correction4. Sound - Could have been better. It's better than the cheaper eGate projectors but not enough to watch a movie in hall, it's only sufficient for a small room5. USB Play - It did not play a lot of formats, even most 1080 MP4s and gave unsupported format error, which reminded me of the irritating same problem with the i9. I expected better from L9To be honest, I expected more from a projector costing 22k. The only marginal advantage I got was the brightness so that I can watch it during daytime. The worse part is it will always need a physical input because it is not Android and doesn't support Miracast/screen-share, not even a damn bluetooth so you need another output for sound; so hanging this from the ceiling is another pain. I bought i9 for INR5500 and it gave me 1080 picture, with the drawback that it needed complete darkness for good experience, however as a projector it did what it should for that amount; though it had a shoddy build quality and its polarization filter got burnt in an area within an year, and Egate customer care did not respond in time, by then my warranty had run out. I ordered a Wanbo X1 pro (INR12k) before this and it had better interface, with Miracast and Bluetooth so using it was a charm compared to this. So, buy this only if you have a requirement of using it in daytime, if you plan on watching few movies etc in a dark room, buy a cheaper one because that will do the job.Update after 11 months of Use: It has started showing a dark spot on screen, which is visible in low light scenes. The same problem happened with their earlier projector Egate i9, but it was a much cheaper item and it happened after 2-3 years of use, and Egate was relatively a small company then, so it was somewhat acceptable. But given the giant it has become in the field of projectors, such performance is not acceptable at all.Update on Customer Support: They have a PATHETIC AFTER SALES SUPPORT, with no one even responding to complaints, even though I was coaxed into getting a Useless Extended 2 Year Warranty!!!! It's been more than a year and they have not responded to my query or suggested any resolution. Trust me you cannot do without tech support in case of a projector because you cannot get it repaired at a normal electronic repair shop, at least not an Indian projector whose parts are not easily available.Update after 15 months of Use: Because of the poor casing, as is the case with all Egate projectors, a lot of dust has accumulate on the side of the screen which is visible during light scenes, it looks really bad and there is no way to fix it as I don't have the knowhow to open and clean it, and the Useless Customer Support Of Egate doesn't respond. Please avoid this and buy a Chinese made projector in same price range, they offer much better quality for this price. Or you can try WANBO Projectors, they offer much better build and component quality, a better Android interface and Responsive Customer Support.

Good crisp quality
Writing after using for more than 2 months'. The projector is actually good and among those few that actually work in dim light conditions as well. This is an indoor projector, doesn't emit heat and has decent sound. It's better to connect it to external speakers for quality sound however the inbuilt speakers are decent enough to watch movies on low sound. Don't expect home theatre sound.Coming to video, if the room is dark, the video quality and brightness is exceptionally good. However if there is a tubelight (switched on) then it becomes a problem and the visuals get too dim. That being said it is good enough to watch with open windows and doors and some ambient light.

Good Projector in budget
I am writing this review after 6 months of usage, we have purchased 4 egate projectors due to their brand and trust, this projector is good in performance but got focus problem after 5 months of usage. we have to send the projector to their service center in Noida only, they don't have any service center in India other than that place. But their service center staff is very prompt and helpful to understand and coordinate. They have fixed the issue and sent back through courier service, now the projector is back and working fine. I found slightly fitting issues I.e the board inside the projector is loose fit and the output connection jacks are slightly displaced .
