Let me start by saying the Laundry High Waist Bikini Bottom may not be for everyone, but if you're after full coverage and functionality, this might be a good fit. It's a well made suit and fits as described -- high on the waist. My wife isn't thrilled with this one but can see it as an option with a tankini or swim shirt, especially if hitting the waves is on the weekend agenda. It's very comfortable with its sensual lining and feels like a substantial piece.The Laundry by Shelli Segal Women's Italian Luxe bikini bottom is indicative of a retro1950s vintage fashion trend that has been surfacing at the local beach scene, especially with the 30+ crowd. It reminds me of Marilyn Monroe-like pinup style. I like how the design celebrates the female form with its obeisance to curves but I can understand why my wife isn't crazy about it as she doesn't like how it emphasizes her bottom more than she would like. With that said, I think it looks good on her.This is a sturdy bikini bottom that should last many seasons as Laundry by Shelli Segal makes high quality garments. Size large seems small as my wife usually wears 8-10 and this one accommodates size 12-14. When in doubt, I suggest sizing up, especially if you have curvy hips.~ Kort

I was horrified to take this bathing suit bottom out of its bag because it looks like huge granny pants. The large is definitely LARGE --- more like a 14 than a 10-12 that I expected -- and the cut covers my belly button. That said, with a tankini as a top, they look sympathetic since they give good coverage without exposing the midrift. I'm well past the age of bikini bottoms, so this offers an alternative. I don't like the waistband, though, because it looks unfinished since the elastic is not stitched in place.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

I’m not as keen about the top that they show with this bottom. .. as I am with the bottom. (top sold separately, by the way) This is indeed a “full coverage” bottom. Perhaps not quite what the “younger set” might be attracted to. . . but. . . it’s certainly going to be a hit with the older crowd. The outside is 80% polyamide (nylon) and 20% elastane. The lining (yes, this bottom is fully lined) is 92% polyester and 8% elastane. This swimsuit bottom is Made in China. As it’s solid black. .. it’s easy to pair with any top you might like.

These fit as expected, and they seem to be good quality. But I don't know that they're worth $62. Do note that they are very high waisted, and will pair best with a tankini top. The cut is comfortable, however I'd guess they'll get less comfortable the larger you are. These are a decent beachwear investment, but there are many more affordable options.

I like the slightly cheeky coverage of these (even though I'm a 10-12, less coverage elongates my legs and makes my rear look nicer than full coverage). The fit is somewhat small, however, but I don't know whether that was unexpected - the photo shows the sides pinching in a bit at the waist, even on the skinny model, so I assumed (correctly) that they'd do this on me too, and they of course do. They're great quality though, and I'll pair them with my solid or printed tops and get a lot of good use out of these.
