Breville Flow Electric Kettle | 1.7 L | 3kW Fast Boil | White & Gold [VKT185]

I bought this kettle in white with a gold finish to the handle and lid.It's just so nice!To start with the gold accents are a lovely muted colour so it doesn't look too gaudy.The fill window is nice and wide so it's clearly visible and lights up when it boils so you know how much water you have.It's not heavy and the handle isn't slippy which I was actually quite worried about when I first saw it.The lid lifts off entirely instead of being hinged like my last kettle. I am surprised by how much I like this feature; I can reach in and remove the filter much easier without the lid getting in the way.It boils incredibly quietly and quickly compared to my previous kettle as well.I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this kettle.Now all I need is the matching toaster!

My previous kettle only lasted a few months so bought this to match my toaster. I live in a hard water area and after having this for two months I still have not needed to descale it. (My last one I descaled about four times in 3 months)! Easy to clean the outside with a damp cloth, no marks on the gold bits and a good solid button to switch on. Maybe only downside is you have to remove the lid to fill, where as others are usually hinged. Not an issue for me though. Overall looks good, quite robust and no scaling (yet).

It matches my kettle. I love the gold and silver.

Overall this kettle is good value. Looks nice. The lid is a bit fiddly to remove and replace. Otherwise I would recommend this product.
