NEEWER Heavy Duty Light Stand with Casters, 100% Stainless Steel Tripod

I'm new to cameras and lighting and so I thought I would try this stand after some research. I have to say that I am more than happy with this stand. It is light to move around, yet sturdy - and easy to set up. I like the spring system built into the telescopic poles, which are easy to raise, lower and lock with the attached fasteners which are also metal. The wheels glide comfortably along the floor and can be locked in place when needed. I also like the wheel base folding system which makes storage hassle free.

Relatively inexpensive second-tier stand for studio equipment. Compact, very sturdy, well made with good wheels. There's a knack to folding it but it is fairly intuitive and everything locks in place nicely both opened and closed. Highly recommended for lights, loudspeakers, backgrounds or anything you need safely held up to 3m above the ground.

I’ve been using this with a stainless steel arm to boom a COB light with a 90cm lanterns over the top of people for lighting. It’s rated for a 30kg payload, which is really why I went for it, and the locking mechanism for the legs is reassuring if a little fiddly to use. The wheels are handy and I really trust it for heavier payloads.

Built extremely robustly. The butterfly screws for height adjustment are massive cast aluminium affairs. Castors roll like a dream with proper bearings on both wheels and swivels. Has some gravity to it and everything about it screams quality. Bargain at this price point quite frankly

I bought this to hold a very large soft box, my previous stand was very flimsy and I thought I would try this. It’s perfect for the job so Sturdy, very easy to move as needed. Im so pleased with it.

I’ve got dozens of Neewer light stands of different types. This has to be my favourite. It just feels very professional. Can’t beat the quality for the price.

Man, this stand is awesome. I got it as an open-box discount for about $75 and you can't beat that. For one thing, it rolls smoothly. It's also heavy duty enough to hold all but the heaviest lights. It has a nice metal construction, but it's still lightweight enough that you can carry it easily if you have to take it to a location. The maximum height is very tall, taller than any kit stand is going to be. It's a fraction of the cost of similar stands from Matthews or Avenger, and I'd say it's probably the same quality as Flashpoint or Kupo. So it's a medium heavy-duty rolling stand. One thing to mention, and this isn't a complaint about build quality, it's just a reality of the design: this kind of stand is more designed for studio use. You CAN use it on a location, but it needs to be an indoor, level, location with hard floors or low-nap carpet. Don't take this stand to the park or the country and expect it to perform like a tripod stand, because that isn't what it is. Another thing, mount your lights (and a small modifier) on the stand. Don't use a boom arm with this kind of stand, use a C-stand or a combo stand for that. A I'll probably end up buying a second one of these.

Awesome light stand. Has a really small footprint when when i shoot events. Travel well and is well constructed!
