I found this by accident at World Market. I got detoured for a while with Tazo Awake - I don't know why, I think because I ran out of this and the local World Market closed. They aren't stocking this anymore anyway. Tazo used to be consistent, not completely exciting but a decent breakfast tea if the water is really hot and the tea is steeped well. As I said, not consistent anymore. One box will taste like twigs and the next just okay now. Probably riding on customer's previous buying habits and betting they won't notice a cheaper product.So, Amazon again and gratefully found this old friend. It is a consistent, strong black breakfast tea. Lovely and smooth and not to acidic tasting. I do like a strong cuppa and a full flavor black. It is not cloudy. If the water is boiling and not put in a cup that will loose heat, if I make the water less hot it is a lighter tea that is still pleasant. I like that some portion of it's profits go to Lifeboat rescue support. Lovely all the way around.Oh, and I do find that with really hot water, 1 bag will make a nice half pot (about 2 mugs). It always helps to rinse the pot with boiling water to warm it up before adding the teabag and water for steeping also.

I have been a Constant Comment drinker for most of my life. No other American teas have the amount of flavor that I want. Certainly not the dreck that passes for tea from the major brands found in every grocery store & Walmart in North America. So I have been trying English teas. Who knows more about tea than the Brits, eh? I found this in a store specializing in all sorts of products from all over the world and it has turned out to be the best thing I have ever bought from them.Lifeboat is not a ladies afternoon sipping tea. This tea has the sort of flavor that one can imagine bringing life back to a surviver of an accident at sea. A hearty, robust flavor that warms the bones as it pleases the palate. But not overpowering or bitter as many strong teas can be. Even when brewed badly, it makes a worthwhile cup of tea. It's even good when made through my drip coffee maker. But when the time and proper procedures are followed, it produces an extraordinary cup. I have even made sun tea served with ice in the summer. Iced tea is almost a religion here in Texas. And Lifeboat passes the test.All of my local sources have disappeared so now I get it off the web.If you want a tea to warm your bones on a chilly night. Or to just plain enjoy anytime, I highly recommend Lifeboat tea. The fact that it also supports a worthwhile organization and is a Fair Trade product simply gives one added incentive to try it.

Great robust flavor I drink this every day

This is one of my two go-to teas, the other is Yorkshire Gold, for breakfast. Williamson Tea has their own tea plantation in Africa. This tea is robust and highly caffeinated, not as much as Builder's but up there for a black tea. You may find two different packages. One is orange with a RHIB at sea on the top and one blue with a painting of a boat being rowed through surf. The orange one has 80 tea bags without tags packed in two separate mylar tubes for freshness. Beyond being a fantastic tea, sales support the RNLI. The RNLI is a volunteer organization that does rescue at sea and is the sister organization of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in the UK.

I love this tea. However, this time the four boxes of tea were shipped in a plastic bag and sent by mail. When I opened the bag, the boxes were crushed. Fortunately, the tea bags were not damaged; but, they should be shipped so that they arrive intact.

This is a superior black tea in “builders” style tea bags. Tea in a minute - one cup or a tea pots.As flavourful as teams that are two to three times the price. Of course, the charity donation to RNLI is just a bonus.
