His writing style is conversational, and he consistently explains the tactics, then gives examples, provides tips to make your execution great, and lightens it up with humorous and inspirational quotes. Reading this book is like being coached on how to block by Vince Lombardi - you develop a clear understanding of the basics, and then you build on top of that knowledge foundation through practice and coaching, more practice and coaching, until greatness is achieved. His reflection questions in each chapter will help you identify areas of opportunity in your team, as well as ways to approach your people. If you are leading people, this book will make you more effective.

Steve and Matthew have provided an extremely comprehensive plan to becoming a great Sales Manager. You must buy this book as it will be a fantastic guideline to leading your sales team and double digit sales growth. I’ve lived these teaching, thanks to Steve, for many years before it became a book and it works. The individual growth of our team and their sales were phenomenal. Thank you both for putting this into writing so you can mentor so many others and help them mentor their teams!

If you want to learn how to effectively coach and manage a sales team properly, this is a must read. This book places a strong emphasis on having the necessary structure and processes in place that create a sustainable culture that generates consistent results. Having implemented these best practices into our sales culture for the past 4 years, you’d be doing yourself and your organization a disservice by not attempting to implement a few methods and best practices from this book.

Here’s the Book That Will Give You the Edge
If you are a coach, manager that needs to supercharge his sales team I would highly recommend to pick up this book and read it front to back several times. It gives specific information on how to get your team motivated and inspired to reach your company‘s goals. A sales person’s attitude will hold them back but a sales manager with the information that this book has can give you the edge to hit your goals continuously.

This book provides clear ideas on why sales professionals succeed (and don't succeed), strategies for building a consistent and effective approach to your customers, and how sales teams can be most productive together.Excellent material!

The time you invest in reading this book will be worth it. The tools and templates that Steve shares make this book extremely practical. I recommend keeping it at your desk because you’ll find yourself always referencing it!

Execution and Results
As an Executive Coach I am always looking or books that will resonate with my sales leaders and this book hits the mark. When I think about sales teams that do not see results it's because there is activity, but no structure to build accountability into the teams success measures. This book defines a clear path to ensure that a successful sales team can be built for the long term rather than books in this arena that focus on the quick win which may show short term results, but then loses steam after 30-60 days. Highly recommend this book for established and new sales leaders looking to ensure they build long lasting ownership within their sales teams so that they will reach their full potential.
