So easy to use
These are great rack screws. Very easy to install and de-install. Makes a normally tedious job super quick

Highly recommended, esp. for homelab use
Recommend RackStuds for casual network cabinet home lab use. Been using for years and have only had one stud fair out of over 200 I've installed for self, friends and family, and that failure was questionable potentially over tightening during installation. I've even reused well over a few dozen studs over the years and try are not showing any sign of wear, year, or deformation. Personally, if mounting in a wall rack or stationary floor rack, I highly recommend this products use -BE SURE TO USE THE CORRECT SIZE. For rolling racks that can or will move over time over smooth horizontal surfaces, should be fine (YMMV) but if rolling over concrete seams, non-contiguous raised floor panels, or other vertical force/shear inducing paths, then use screws and cage nuts for gear weighing maybe over 5lbs. I have a 2U non-railed (yet) 30lb device hung on 4 purple studs and no sign of issues 9 mos in.

Red version fits just nicely for Startech 4U open frame rack
The red version fits just nicely for my Startech 4U open frame rack; no issues installing it and is very sturdy for a UDMSE and 1U rack shelf. Definitely more convenient and easier than traditional cage nuts especially if you plan to move equipment around frequently or do a lot of testing.

I love it made my life easier.
I have no problems with having this product hold up hard drive storage array enclosures up to 65 hard drive. It made installing switches and anything else annoying I could think of easy as heck so I don't think I'll go back to normal cage nuts. And I don't have cuts and bruises on my fingers anymore thank goodness this product exists.

Great Product
Great alternative to the old clip/screw method. Much easier and much faster. Only one issue that kept me from giving it 5-stars - be careful if you use a screwdriver, you can snap them without applying much pressure. That is the only weak point I see.

Good sample pack, if you're not sure if (and which) rack studs will work for you
I ordered the small version of this item, providing 4 rack studs each of the red and the purple ones. The red rack studs are meant to be used in racks with steel up to 2.2mm thick, while the purple ones are for thicker racks. This item gave me a perfect opportunity to try rack studs out and see, which version of the studs would work with my StarTech rack. (That rack has steel of 2mm thickness, so - as expected - the red studs were the ones, since the purple ones just sat too lose in the rack.) That gave me the confidence to order a large pack of the red rack studs for my rack (listed as a separate item on amazon). I am really please that Rackstuds provides such a sample pack. If you're unsure, if Rackstuds are for you, this item will provide the answer.

Painless Installation
If you’re contemplating switching to “Rack Studs”, make the switch today! Much easier installing than conventional rack nuts and screws. Two concerns to be mindful of; one being don’t use a driver for tightening, as these will strip out the philips head of the fastener, and make sure to install the stud properly or you’ll run into spacing issues. Checkout the pics provided here on Amazon and use a philipshead screwdriver and you’ll be set.

Legit stuff, works 5/5
I used it for helping with device installations in OMO situations. Works well.

Potentially weak, easily stripped using screwdriver.
Installation was great and easy, I used it on a server that I often work on it so it's easier to dismount and remount. After installation, I needed to take remove it due to a potential hardware issue, so I dismounted it, and upon the second time remounting, one of the caps was stripped by the screwdriver. It's the largest bit I have and worked fine with the other cap, and a spare I pulled out of the bag. UPDATE: The seller responded to make things right, I'm happy for it. Updated the ratings. I of course had to remove it with a flat head, so these being plastic and can easily be stripped worries me. I reached out to the manufacturer but no response. Thus lost of stars as I have concerns about the quality and lack of support.
