I have a germ guardian AC5900WCA. I've bought this particular item before and it worked great so when it came time for a filter re-up, I bought it again. However, when I got this product and switched out my air filter, the unit wouldn't turn on. The germguardian has a switch inside the filter area as well as magnetic sensors that tell it that it can turn on when there is a filter there and the front cover is closed. I tried everything thinking that maybe the unit had just died. Then I tried the old filter and it turned right on. I probably fiddled with it for a half hour before I gave up and just put the old one back in and returned the new one.When I looked at the difference between the two - the one that works and the one that doesn't (both were this product on amazon), the one that didn't work (the new one) was slightly different. It had wider shorter paper tabs (the bits you use to pull the filter out) instead of the longer ribbons the old one had. The tabs also had what look like Chinese characters on them. I couldn't visibly see a difference size-wise but I didn't weigh them or measure them.At any rate, somewhere in the supply chain, there was a manufacturing change between August 2020 and Sept 2021 and the new filter did not work in the unit. Maybe it's luck of the draw to get the good ones but I ordered from a different supplier.

Not going to lie, I never changed the carbon filter until now. Realized I had to since the HEPA light was finally blinking. Only opened it up today (more than six months and less than a year or use). Boy, was that filthy, catching a bunch of cat hair. Well, this was my first time changing the filter for my Germ Guardian and it was ridiculously easy. I changed both the HEPA and carbon. Just fitted itself very easily into the spot of the old filters and stayed in place. No problems.

Fits perfect. Price is great and the quality is as good (maybe better) than the brand name, and it comes with an extra charcoal pre-filter. I'll be a regular customer, for sure!

These are a much better value than the genuine germ guardian filters, but I did have trouble getting this filter to trigger the safety switch. I added a little cardboard to that corner and it worked fine after, just something to be aware of if your device suddenly stops working.

This filter fits as well as the factory original. It seems to work about as well. I can’t measure fine particles in my air or anything, but I still don’t have to dust very often, and it clearly catches a lot of junk from the air.

Fits and works just like the one you get from Dyson. It helps alot for my allergies and especially asthma!

this is so far great. the double carbon does make a difference. make sure to clean the carbon part every month and it'll last awhile.

We bought these filters since it seemed to be a good replacement filter and we're happy with the outcome - we'll be purchasing these again in the future.

Bought this but haven't use it yet. Will get back after I use it.
