The whole espresso brewing craze reminds me of the nutty audiophiles claiming to hear the difference between 98% copper and OFC copper wires. A ton of dopey people throwing money away in pursuit of impossible perfection. That said, this product is truly amazing. It acts, before and after initial use, just as a perfect shower screen should. It evenly distributes the water evenly across the entire surface. I’ve got three other differently branded screens that all bunch the water to the center. This one actually makes a funny crackling sound while running with the portafilter removed. Not sure why, but it’s yet another definite distinction between standard OEM and this aftermarket product. It back flushes on one cycle as well. I’ve ordered a backup just in case. Worth every penny.

I was using a puck screen to block espresso grounds from sticking to the shower screen. With this IMS Nano coated screen I stopped using the puck screens because of how easily the grounds wipe off the shower screen and my espresso do taste better. Also I’m having an easier time dialing in my shots. All in all it was a good upgrade to my stock Synkronica E61 group.

I decided to buy this when I bought an 8mm silicone replacement gasket which was needed more, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OX59S5Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00. Overall this shower screen works well. It has six more holes (the innermost circle of holes) than the shower screen that came with my Rocket espresso machine (with E-61 group head), and a finer screen than the original. With no portafilter on, there is a wider dispersion of water through the screen than with the original. When pulling a shot, the coffee starts running quicker, it runs better, and maybe, just maybe, tastes a bit better (or is that just wishful thinking after spending some bucks on a new shower screen?). I would have given it a five, except that the groove around the outside is fairly faint, making it a bit more difficult to pry out with a spoon for cleaning, compared to the original shower screen. I've found that it's relatively easy once the machine has cooled, though. I'm glad I bought it.

i am not sure but i think this is a quick easy way to upgrade your espresso experience for purists. it cleans easily disperses water nicely and gives a nice consistent pull for shots. Highly recommend the item and the seller

The media could not be loaded. This definitely upgrades your existing E61 showerscreen. The espresso output is balanced, and the water is distributed very evenly.

I was having buyers remorse while waiting to receive the shower head but after waiting Amazon's new week and half delivery time frame. When I opened the package I amazed at the quality, rainbow color reminding of the high end material. I carefully removed my Profitec 600 stock head that is 30 days old with the IMS brand, ran a flow test and was clearly obvious how much nicer the even flow came out. What is best is how the clean up experience was. This was 100% worth the pain of spending and waiting. Sure wish Amazon wouldn't be so cheap and throw everything I order into one bag or box causing everything to get smacked around together during shipping.
